Highlights
  • Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station - Situated at an altitude of 2,300 meters, the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station provides a stunning view of the Fuji Five Lakes area below, making it a favored destination even for those not planning to climb the mountain.

Entrance fees are 2,100¥ per group.

  • Lake Kawaguchiko - With a surface elevation of around 830 meters, Lake Kawaguchiko experiences cool summers and icy winters. The area around the lake offers various activities.

You can enjoy a boat cruise or a ropeway cable car ride, but these activities cost 1,000¥ per person each.

There are many restaurants around Lake Kawaguchiko where you can have lunch.

  • Chureito Pagoda - The Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five-story pagoda located on a mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji. Part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine, it was built in 1963 as a peace memorial and is nearly 400 steps up from the shrine’s main buildings.

To visit, you need to climb approximately 400 steps, offering beautiful views of the mountains and the shrine.

  • Oishi Park - Located on the north shore of Kawaguchiko, Oishi Park offers a magnificent view of both the lake and Mt. Fuji.
  • Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a small, traditional Japanese village in the Fuji Five Lake region, situated between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako. It stands on the site of a former sixth lake that dried up several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, which filters through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in exceptionally clear spring water revered by locals. You can drink fresh spring water from Mt. Fuji here.

If weather conditions are favorable, you can get a close view of Mt. Fuji.

  • Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - This shrine is one of about 1,300 Asama shrines in Japan dedicated to the deity of volcanoes, particularly Mount Fuji. It is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, designated in 2013.

Asama shrines honor Konohanasakuya-hime (“cherry blossom princess”), the goddess of Mt. Fuji and all volcanoes in Japanese mythology. Most Asama shrines are within sight of Mt. Fuji; where this is not possible due to distance or obstructions, miniature replicas of Mt. Fuji made from the mountain’s rocks are erected within the shrine grounds.

  • Shinjuku - Pickup and drop-off travel and lunch time will be 2 hours.
