Great break from big bus tours! - My friends and I had an amazing but cloudy day on this tour. Ali was our driver (request him if you can). Ali had great communication, very knowledgeable about each stop, very personable, restaurant recommendations for our lunch stop, and an excellent photographer! This is the perfect the perfect tour if you’d like to have time and transport for just your group. Although the weather didn’t give us any views we still had a great day in the Mt Fuji area with Ali.

Great Day for Mount Fuji - This was an excellent private tour. We had Ali as our guide and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable of all the places we saw and was extremely kind. I would highly recommend this tour

Would do again - Really enjoyed our trip with Ali today. It was so nice to have a private tour and not be on a bus with so many other people. Unfortunately, we did not get to see Mt. Fuji because the weather was not cooperative. This was obviously not our guides fault. Ali helped us make the best of our day by driving us around to several stops. I loved the shrine and temples we saw today. It was a beautiful area of Japan. Bonus: Ali takes great photos!

Highlight of our visit to Japan - First, we contacted the tour organizer two days in advance to change our pickup time. They responded right away and were very accommodating, which made us feel relaxed. Our driver Ali arrived on time in a minivan comfortable for 5-6 passengers. He was courteous, funny and helpful loading and unloading a folding wheelchair and assisting our elderly mom into and out of the vehicle. He was also patient when we needed extra restroom stops. As it was a cloudy morning, Ali had contacted his driver-friend, who left earlier, to get a weather update for Mt. Fuji. Ali took us to various locations on the tour, saving Mt. Fuji for the afternoon when the weather forecast was clear. At each site, Ali gave a brief description, and there were informative signs in English. He had a knack to know which places we would enjoy the most, and gave us time to explore them. When we arrived near Mt. Fuji, the clouds had cleared and we enjoyed awe-inspiring views and a glorious afternoon. The 25-minute powerboat ride (not included in tour price) at Lake Kawaguchiko was a family favorite! We opted not to go up to Fuji's 5th station since it would take too much time and we already felt very happy with the views. The return ride to Tokyo was smooth on a Monday evening, with no traffic delays. Ali was gracious and patient with our multi-generational family. The tour was absolutely a highlight of our stay in Japan.

A great trip - We had a great time with Ali on this tour. He was informative and polite, and it was a pleasant trip. While we couldn’t see the peak of Mount Fuji due to the weather, we saw various spots and viewing locations which were nice and made the trip worthwhile. I would recommend this tour and Ali in particular.

Beautiful area and great guide - Hamza it a very polite and courteous driver/guide. We had a wonderful day exploring the area around mount Fuji. We were blessed with great weather and have made some amazing memories. It is well worth the money as you can tailor your day to your own needs and do not need to follow the drives of other tourists. Spend more time in one place and more in another etc

Mt. Fuji sight seeing tour. - Alas we did not see the crest of Mount Fuji, however this was a fun and memorable trip. Took great pictures and had fun along the way. Ali was a great guide, gave us a bit of history on the shrines, the houses at the villages we visited and sprinted all the way to the top of the lookout point to tell us all the good picture spots. Highly recommended!

Not enough and not all that was promised - First the driver picked us 30 minutes later - at 8:30 and not on 8:00 as announced on booking. We got up early and were ready on time but had to wait. The car was clean but somewhat disentregrating - part of the floor lining and the door sealant were detached and hanging (sealant). The promised water bottle per person was never given to us. We visited 4 instead of the previously announced 8 visiting points. The driver / guide was extremely “non-obtrusive” - he just quoted two or three sentences. He did not point the interesting parts just let us roam about. We expected to learn much more interesting parts. Otherwise it was ok. In conclusion in previous years my experience with Viator was better.
