Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko is a stunning lake and serves as the gateway to the Fuji Five Lakes area. Visitors can enjoy a ship cruise or take a ropeway cable car to Kachi Kachi Mountain. On clear days, there is a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. Separate fees apply for the ship cruise and ropeway cable car.
Chureito Pagoda - Constructed in 1963 as a peace memorial, Chureito Pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine. Situated 400 steps above the shrine, this five-story red pagoda is a must-visit. On clear days, it offers a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. The climb involves 400 steps.
Oishi Park - Experience over 90 different flowers throughout the four seasons. The park is renowned for its lavender.
Owakudani Kurotamago Kan - Owakudani is a popular destination in Hakone, known for its steaming thermal volcanic vents. The unique black eggs, boiled in sulfurous waters, are believed to add seven years to one’s life. On clear days, there is a great view of Mt. Fuji.
Lake Ashinoko - Lake Ashi is beautiful, and the Hakone Shrine is famous for its large red torii gate along the shore, known as the “Gate of Peace” (Heiwa no Torii). The gate was erected in 1952 to commemorate the crown prince’s reign and Japan’s independence. Visitors can enjoy a pirate ship or ropeway cable car, with separate entry fees.
Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu - Hakone Shrine (箱根神社, Hakone Jinja) is located at the base of Mount Hakone along Lake Ashi’s shores. The shrine is hidden in a dense forest but marked by large torii gates, one prominently in the lake and two others on Moto-Hakone’s main street. A path leads from the lake’s torii gate up steps flanked by lanterns to the shrine’s main building, nestled among tall trees. The shrine is beautiful year-round, especially when misty. A second shrine, Mototsumiya, is at Komagatake’s summit, accessible by the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway or hiking trails.
Oshino Hakkai - This location offers stunning natural beauty, with a variety of cherry blossoms and flowers. From the top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji.
Ensoleille Excursion Ship Pleasure Boat Kawaguchiko - Enjoy two experiences: a ship cruise and the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway cable car to Kachi Kachi Mountain. The cruise on Lake Kawaguchiko lasts 20 minutes and offers a close view of Mt. Fuji on clear days. Additional fees apply for the cruise. The ropeway provides a close view of Mt. Fuji, weather permitting.
Hakone Ropeway - The observation platform offers stunning views of Owakudani, Hakone’s most famous tourist spot. The desolate mountainside, covered in smoke plumes, reflects the area’s former name, Hell Valley. The Hakone Ropeway rises above Owakudani, offering many scenic views. Traveling from Sounzan to Owakudani, passengers can see the valley below, and on the way to Togendai, they can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi.

Great service from Malik - We had Malik as a driver, and we were very happy with him, he’s always helpful and has a great attitude. Regarding the schedule, keep in mind the way to the Fuji area also takes a bit of time, but Malik was very helpful all the way through. After we booked, we thought of visiting different places, and our driver was completely accommodating.

Recommend for private tour to customize your itinerary - We recommend booking this for a private car to take you around Mount Fuji and Hakone!! Ibrar arrived early and was very nice. He took us to all the places we wanted to go. We had 5 people and the car was very clean and spacious. We saw beautiful sites and highly recommend it.

Mt Fuji Tour - Our family of six had an unforgettable experience on our Mt. Fuji tour, thanks to our incredible guide, Shamas. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative, and enjoyable. Shamas was not only knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area but also made the tour fun and engaging for everyone in our group. The views of Mt. Fuji were breathtaking, and we appreciated the carefully planned itinerary that allowed us to explore scenic spots, enjoy local food, and take in the beauty of Japan. Shamas went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, answering all our questions and even helping us capture the perfect family photos. Awesome day - Ali was great! Drove us there safely and explained everything to us perfectly. Also was patient when did not know what we wanted to eat. He also took great pictures of us all by Mt Fuji!

Great Experience - We were super lucky to get a clear view of Mt Fuji on the day of our booking. Our driver Ali was very professional. He spoke good English and very good with helping us to take photos. We got some really nice photos that we wouldn't get if we only relied on tripod. Ali was flexible and helpful with our custom itinerary. He even helped us to reach a difficult photo point to get best view of Mt Fuji with a torii gate. On top of great service, Ali was also quite friendly to our kids, turning the day into an amazing experience. Definitely would recommend Ali and the Karvaan tour.

Decent tour, uncomfortable ridde - The tour itself was fine, although it would have been better if our driver was local, and was able to provide some insight and information about the places we visited. It was more an uber than a tour. The biggest problem we had, however, was the fact that the car had a relatively strong odor of cigarette and because it was a cold day when we visited (around 5 degrees) we were unable to have the windows opened for most of the ride. Being stuck inside a car for over 6 hours with poor ventilation and strong cigarette smell was not exactly comfortable.

The tour guide didn’t... - The tour guide didn’t speak English and it was difficult to communicate with him. He struggled with understanding simple phrases like restroom. He couldn’t explain what we were seeing. It was so disappointing!

Glorified Uber Driver rather than tour, but amazing views of Fuji! - I hate to rate this way and this option may be what you are looking for but know all the facts before you pay. That being said we were just on a 2 week trip in Japan and Korea and booked many tours through Viator. This was the most expensive. We had specific timeframes and needed to get from Hakone to Tokyo while wanting to tour Hakone and Mt. Fuji area. To us, touring included getting historical/cultural information. To start our tour, our driver was 1 hour late despite my confirmation with the company the night before. Once he showed up, he was wearing his sneakers as slip ons, and not just to greet us but through part of the first location which was unprofessional. He did not give us any overview just said ok here is where we go today. Later learning we had a choice of the stops. At the first location we were given minimal information about where we were / what we were seeing. This was the theme throughout the day. In the end it was all ok because we got from Hakone to Tokyo, and we got amazing views of Mt. Fuji!!!! At this end of the day this “tour” is a glorified uber driver, if that’s what you’re looking for this is the tour for you!! Marking “no” as would you recommend but truly I would say it depends on your situation.
