Highlights
  • Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station - The highest point of Mt. Fuji (2200m) accessible by car, popular among hikers. This is the nearest spot to view the summit of Mt. Fuji. You can enjoy a splendid view of the city from the viewpoints.

P.S. The station is accessed via the Fuji Subaru Line, a scenic toll road that ascends Mount Fuji’s lower northern slopes, starting in Fujikawaguchiko Town. The toll road costs 2100 yen and may be partially closed in winter due to heavy snow. Additionally, the road is closed to private vehicles during most of the climbing season (July 5 to September 10, 2024), with shuttle buses operating between designated parking lots at the base of the mountain and the 5th station.

  • Arakurayama Sengen Park - A peace memorial park with Shinto shrines and around 400 stairs leading to breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji at various elevations. The Chureito Pagoda at the top was built in memory of soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in World War I and II. It is famous for viewing and photographing the majestic Mt. Fuji from the observatory deck.
  • Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai consists of eight springs found in Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan. The aquifer water from Mount Fuji surfaces to form these springs. They are a Natural Monument of Japan and part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site. Winter offers a particularly stunning view of the iconic mountain, including the striking “Diamond Fuji” phenomenon, where the rising or setting sun aligns perfectly with the peak of Mt. Fuji. A small open-air museum, the Hannoki Bayashi Shiryokan, surrounds the largest pond, with a small admission fee required. The water in the Waku Pond is especially clear and clean, and visitors are encouraged to drink it and even take some home in a bottle. It’s a great place to buy gifts and souvenirs, and the street food is amazing as well.
  • Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchi is the second largest of the Mt. Fuji Five Lakes, offering beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. The Kachi Kachi Ropeway ascends to an observation point near the summit of Mount Tenjo, from where Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji can be seen. There are also many hot springs in the area where you can relax.
  • Oishi Park - Oishi Park is a public park located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. From the park, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. The park features a 350m walking path with many flowers planted along it; from early April to late May, the moss phlox flowers spread out like a pink carpet, from late June to late July, the gorgeous lavender plants bloom, and from mid to late October, the kokia shrubs display their beautiful red autumn colors. The contrast between the various flowers and Mt. Fuji is spectacular. The park is also home to the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center, where you can enjoy making fruit jam and an all-you-can-eat cherry and blueberry picking course. They also feature a café where you can try specialty-made blueberry ice cream.
  • Gotemba Premium Outlets - A shopping mall with premium outlets of well-known brands. This is optional, and if you wish to include it in your itinerary, please discuss it with the driver in the morning.

Excellent - We enjoyed this tour very much. We started from pagoda to lake Kawaguchiko. Our family has a little kid that wants to go to Fuji Q highland. Irfan, our driver, agreed to bring us there too!. I highly recommend. It was a great trip with Irfan, he treated us very politely afterwards.

A great one day trip for the many views of Mt. Fuji. - Hassan is amazing! I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Mt. Fuji with an English speaking guide. Hassan is super nice, patient, well-informed and very helpful. He knows the route and will provide numerous options, depending on the accessibility and climate. Hassan really enjoys what he does and was super kind enough to help take pictures. We had an amazing trip to visit the 5th station on Mt. Fuji, the motor boat ride, visiting other notable places as well as shrines. Thank you!

Mt. Fuji Day Trip with Mohammed. - Our guide Mohammed was great: responsive, right on time and gave us great suggestions and the flexibility to do/go what/where we wanted. He even drove back to us when we realized we left something on the car. 10 out of 10!

My son loved this tour, very satisfied! - This private tour is well organized. You can feel that the tour is very structured and the choice of POIs is well thought out; you can also feel the freedom of pick and choose based on personal preference and weather conditions. Our guide Mirza is experienced yet also very flexible, he can even read the unpredictable weather and re-arrange our stops so that we have the best opportunities to see Mt. Fuji with blue sky before the cloud creeps in later on the day. Very satisfied!

Wonderful day at Mt. Fuji - This was a great trip from tokyo to Mt. Fuji. Our guide Irfan was very knowledgable of the area and very friendly and polit. He picked us up promptly and took us to many great places to look at Mt. Fuji. Also went to the lake and had a ride around the lake in a boat. (Make sure you have extra cash for this but well worth it). We were lucky to have perfect weather for the day. Irfan was a great guide and would do it again.

Good value; company needs more attentive drivers - Price was reasonable given the length of time for which we had the driver and the distance we covered (10 hours; approximately 400-500km). Our driver Usman was very nice and accommodating, working with us during the trip to develop/fine tune our itinerary. Our experience was negatively impacted by a car collision on our return trip to Tokyo. The collision was due to our driver's distraction looking down at the phone on his lap (Google maps) while driving. Unfortunately I noticed this habit early in the drive but I did not speak up about it during the day. However, after the collision and ensuing police report (our family group of 12 has to wait almost 45 minutes for the issue to be resolved) I specifically mentioned to Usman that he should place his phone on a dashboard stand so he isn't looking down any more and potentially causing another accident. Despite vocalizing my concern our driver continued to drive and look down at the phone on his lap for the remainder of the trip, approximately 20 more minutes after leaving the area of the collision. While we understand that accidents happen, we were quite shocked and disappointed that Usman didn't correct his behaviour regarding his phone usage while driving. Quote honestly our family were thankful when we reached our hotel and exited the vehicle.

Let down. - Like the other one star reviews here, mine is a similar story. Despite booking days out with a request for hotel pickup airport drop off, i got a message the night before saying the driver was sick, and they weren't licensed to do airport drop offs. This completely at ends with a previous reviews which said they did exactly this previously with the one driver/van. Very annoyed as i requested with these details days in advanced, and he canceled only the night before the pick up so we had no chance to find anyone else.
