Rainy spring tour - Booked this tour and explored the forest and ice cave. It was raining that day and the forest was extra moody. Worth experiencing the forest and seeing the dense roots growing on top of the volcanic ground and bright green moss everywhere. The ice cave was very dark and difficult to walk (slippery) - we were provided headlamps and jumpsuits. The jumpsuits and hard hats kept us dry. The ice sculptures inside were cool to see - we did not go all the way in since it was so slippery but could see more ice stalagtites and stalagmites farther in. There was one other group that entered the cave during our visit. The guide was knowledgeable and kind. He picked everyone up and dropped off at everyone's requested locations. Our tour had 6 people. He did not rush us during the tour.

Wonderful geology lesson and adventure! - This was a fabulous adventure. Be prepared to descend into the cave by ladder and traverse over icy rocks. We got the boots and the they were well worth it! Amazing to be inside the cave and our guide Takashi was very knowledgeable and led us safely through the forest and cave. Really unforgettable!

Superb! - This was an incredible adventure!! I wasn't quite prepared for how primitive the cave would be, and I was a bit nervous once we realized that (I'm not the most graceful nor fit individual). However, our guide was helpful, knowledgeable, had a good sense of humor, and kept us all safe. The forest is beautiful, and we learned about the history and the flora and fauna of the region as we hiked along. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking for an exciting experience that is different from the regular touristy fare!!

Educational and memorable tour guide! - I had the honor of having Mr. Toshio as my guide through Aokigahara Forest and into the Mt Fuji Ice Cave. Toshio was incredibly responsible and shared a wealth of knowledge throughout the journey, making the experience both educational and memorable. I was conveniently picked up at Kawaguchiko Station, which made the start of the adventure smooth and comfortable. A big thank you to Toshio for being an excellent tour guide! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore this fascinating area with a knowledgeable and dedicated guide.

Ice caves - Walked through an abandoned cave encased in glitter ice. The ice seemed to glow in the headlamps and covered the walls in shiny patches.

Truly a unique and awesome experience - TAKASHI was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable of Aokigahara forest in its history, flora, and fauna. He took the initiative to show us the different plants and also answered any question we had about the environment. The ice cave was a very unique experience! I recommend paying for the boots. It made the journey easier so that you can truly take in the caves without worrying about falling. Takashi also pointed out all the beautiful ice formations and had time to snap some pictures. It’s an easy walk to the caves. The ice caves are rocky and slippery but easy for anyone who is relatively active. Highly recommend!
