Awesome Unique Experience! - A must do must see activity! Forest walk was tranquil and beautiful with lots of information from guide along the way. This leads up to the ice cave which was incredible. After a quick climb down into the cave, and a temperature change to 0 Celsius (even in Summer), explore deep into the cavern and the naturally occurring ice. Such a unique activity that was a highlight of our trip to Japan! One tip is to wear light, waterproof hiking shoes. It’s not a challenging hike by any means, but if it’s raining or a wet day you’ll be glad you did.

An Informational Cave Expedition - Tada is an extremely knowledgeable scholar of Mount Fuji's surrounding geology and ecology. There isn't a question he can't answer regarding the forest, caves, lava, ice and soil on this excursion in the caverns and forests of Mount Fuji. My personal recommendation is to do this excursion in the spring when the ice formations in the cave are at their fullest, because the summer heat melts much of them. Regardless, this is a great experience worth anyone's time.

Rainy spring tour - Booked this tour and explored the forest and ice cave. It was raining that day and the forest was extra moody. Worth experiencing the forest and seeing the dense roots growing on top of the volcanic ground and bright green moss everywhere. The ice cave was very dark and difficult to walk (slippery) - we were provided headlamps and jumpsuits. The jumpsuits and hard hats kept us dry. The ice sculptures inside were cool to see - we did not go all the way in since it was so slippery but could see more ice stalagtites and stalagmites farther in. There was one other group that entered the cave during our visit. The guide was knowledgeable and kind. He picked everyone up and dropped off at everyone's requested locations. Our tour had 6 people. He did not rush us during the tour.
