Educational & wine! - Wonderful tour guide and very knowledgeable about historical events. Would love to see more research about the enslaved African Americans that ran the plantation included on the tours. The staff was friendly and the ladies at the restaurant/bar were lovely.

Perfect way to spend half a day - We had a spare day during our visit to Nashville and we decided to catch the public bus to Belle Mead and we were so happy that we made that decision. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. The mansion tour was excellent especially with Dianne as our guide. The only problem would be that we wished the tour was double the length as it was so interesting. The history of the house and the families who lived there was fascinating. Especially the contribution made by the enslaved ( and later, freed) people. The visit was excellent value for money as we spent a long time exploring the extensive grounds as well. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in the history of the area.

Fun learning about a piece of Nashville area history - Great time hearing a piece of history from the Nashville, TN area. We went during a very slow, and hot!, period in late August, so it didn't have the vibe likely visible during other times. That said, it was a great tour of the mansion with lots of good information and a short, enjoyable wine tasting. My wife and I enjoyed the time then walking around the property. Well done!

Relaxing and Educational - It was a great way to spend an afternoon. We enjoyed strolling the grounds and sipping a glass of wine while listening to a talented singer-songwriter. Our tour guide Samantha did an excellent job explaining the history of the mansion and estate.

Rushed - Thought the tour was rushed. Our guide was polite and informative, but we thought there were rooms passed up that were not talked about, items in the rooms that could be talked about and nothing was said about some of the buildings and gardens on the grounds. Wine tasting was also rushed. Give people time to enjoy the taste of each wine, talk about it a little with their companion, etc. before pouring the next sample
