Highly recommend this tour - Great tour with Tom, our guide. He shared his excellent knowledge of the Civil War and the impact on those living and working at Belle Meade and the surrounding area. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who visits Belle Meade.

Thought provoking - All of it. The Mansion especially. The slave cabin replica. Why do you require a lot of words? Let us be who we are.

Thoughtful - He made me think. He had an interesting way of presenting the material with a thought provoking set up calling for responses to a statement or a question and then the answer.

Informative tour of TN history - We learned a different perspective regarding the era of slavery in the middle TN area and the tour challenged the way we think and viewed this era in American history.

Plantation good - tour guide disappointing - Sadly, this tour was a disappointment. The guide was more focused on his personal views rather than providing the history of the Plantation and the era. Thankfully, the tour price included admission to the grounds, which was much better than the tour itself.
