History a short ride form downtown Nashville - Very enjoyable day. Our guide with Grey Line tours was extremely knowledgeable not only about the history of the site but surrounding area as well. He was able to point out sites of interest during our ride. The tour guides at each home were also very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. Transportation was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour.

Good historical tour. - A very educational and insightful tour. Our guide, Roger, shared lots of information about the area and you could tell he was a passionate local. The house tours were great, although the man at Carter House could have shortened his battle reenactment. I would have like more than an hour for lunch in Franklin. Overall, I’d highly recommend this tour.

Amazing! Must do in Nashville - Jules was an amazing tour guide. She started out the trip enthusiastic and fun and the day ended on the same note. All three historical sites had incredible guides which provided glimpses into history as well as ensuring we understood the human factor and the challenges families faced during the war. The town of Franklin was a nice mid point-very quaint and lots of good food and shopping. We had an incredible day and highly recommend this trip.

If you can drive into Franklin yourself, you should - The people at each respective house were detailed, lively, and respectfully informative and tasteful. They did a fantastic job and each place was very welcoming and great. I would 100% recommend going to each place. However, the grey line tour seemed pretty unnecessary in retrospect, the tour guide didn’t provide any worthwhile input aside from being a bus driver, which I guess is kind of the point. But the guides personal opinions and the tour mates were fairly alienating if you weren’t aligned with them. If you can drive yourself to each individual place, they’re all still very close, and you can go to each house and pay for a tour separately and take your own pace at it (which some groups did, there were people in our house tours that were not with grey line, and they probably had a more intimate enjoyable time). The bus portion was honestly just opinionated public transit and didn’t offer any extra value to the trip. But again, I highly highly highly recommend the house tours, the guides there each were very good. A blonde woman at the carnton house, an older man at the Carter house, and very enthusiastic personable gentleman who volunteered at the lotz house. Sorry I didn’t catch the names. But even the office representatives at the houses were great. Our greyline guide wasn’t bad by any means, they were nice, but didn’t add any value, and added a little too much of their personal opinions at times.

Worthwhile tour; very interesting - The Tour driver was very nice. Could have a few more Nashville/Franklin information bits for on the ride there and back. We toured Carnton, Carter and Lotz in that order. Would be better to do them in the opposite order so there is more time at Carnton at the end.
