Perfect ending to the perfect weekend! - My wife and I took the food tour as a way to wrap up our long weekend. We both wished it would have been the first thing we did. Because the information gained ad well as the food destinations could have added to our daily routine. We've already discussed going back just to be able to revisit the restaurants and dinners. Sean did an outstanding job giving us some history about the city as well as the food. We will be back for sure.

Great Tour to Take In the Best Foods, City History & Traditions. Highly suggest! - Shaun was a great guide & took us to amazing food restaurants & told us about the history of Nashville. So interesting that we passed along the info to a fellow Vandy student who learned something new from our little food tour. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nashville for the 1st time.

Awesome intro to Nashville food and culture! - Tree, our guide, was great at introducing us to the Nashville food scene as well as digging into the history, music and culture of the city. She was funny, organized and energetic. The food tour she curated included Mexican and Japanese restaurants as well as some amazing Nashville specialty food shops.
The tour was our first activity after arriving in Nashville and over the course of the next few days we returned to three of the places we visited to do a deeper dive. We highly recommend this tour!!

Easy Walk, Knowledgeable Guide, Great Food - We did the downtown Nashville tour and we had so much fun! Tree was super knowledgeable on Nashville history and we got to try a few places we had been wanting to hit.

Incredible time for natives, locals, and tourists alike! - I wanted to give a huge shout out to Sean McCormack, our food tour guide. He was exemplary. Our company was hosting a Summit in Nashville and offered this tour as a teambuilding excursion option. Even though we are all Nashville natives/Nashville locals, we learned SO much and had an absolute blast. Our group was a little worse for wear that day, due to their previous night’s shenanigans on Broadway. Sean was able to infuse energy into our group and before I knew it, everyone had a pep in the step. 😊 He was hysterical, engaging, and had a wonderful mix of talking points across many different subjects that related to Nashville, the food, music, and the destinations we saw. He read the room and guided the energy to take us on the tour he knew we needed to be on! We had tons of laughs, great snacks, and awesome stories with nuanced facts (that will hopefully have me winning trivia one day!).

Great food options! - The food options were great! We loved the biscuits, fish tacos, hot chicken, pork buns and doughnuts. Unfortunately, it was raining the whole time. But we got to sit inside four of the five places.

Great food, interesting history - We enjoyed the knowledgeable guide and the history. Spectacular food and atmosphere. Overall, a bit disorganized from other tours we’ve been on and wish there was more about the history of the food, the restaurant or the area. Nothing seemed prearranged or ready for us when we arrived.

It’s fine but there are better ones out there. - The food stops were good and places I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Having been on other food tours, this one didn’t have much by way of content. It’s definitely more about the food.

Good food - missing the Nashville connection??? - It was a rainy Sunday. We stood under a covered area for a while, listening to different short stories about street murals, Nashville celebrities, and more. We eventually walked from place to place, sampling random restaurants. The food was very good, but the choices were not explained - I didn’t understand the relevance to Nashville per se other than places were close to each other and perhaps favorites of the tour guide. In all, we tried food items from 5 different establishments. The biscuits and fried chicken was explained for Nashville, but not sure of the connection for the tacos, Asian steam rolls or bao buns (?), and donuts to Nashville. Apparently one standard food stop is at an establishment owned by a celebrity chef, but as it was a Sunday, restaurant was closed and we only got to walk past and hear about the chef. In sum, food samplings are tasty, but think next time I’ll likely skip the tour, pick a popular neighborhood, and do random drop ins.
