Highlights
- Pirates of Nassau Museum - We start here right outside the museum with friendly introductions and a brief explanation about how The Bahamas in particularly Nassau was established.
- Pompey Museum of Slavery & Emancipation - Guide will explain the history of the Museum and give a brief highlight of what to expect inside for anyone wanting to further explore. There is an admission fee.
- Christ Church Cathedral - Tour the “always perfect temperature” hand carved limestone interior of an 1800s church frequented by the Royals.
- Bay Street - We will walk along Bay Street pointing out recommended must see food and drink venues for later plans
- Parliament Square - Here we will discuss The Bahamas’ rise to independence and detail the governmental structure.
- Fort Fincastle - Great mini uncrowded souvenir shopping experience with local vendors while learning about the history of the Fort and it’s connection to the Queen’s Staircase. There is a $3 fee per person to tour the interior of the Fort.
- Queen’s Staircase - Excellent photo opportunity with a well preserved 1700s hand carved stone passage and staircase as your backdrop.
- Balcony House - Learn the fascinating history of the oldest wooden residential structure in Nassau built in the 1700s fully equipped with 19th century furnishings.
- Graycliff Heritage Village - Learn about the rich history of the legendary GrayCliff property involving Al Capone, war and pirates. Great photo opportunity. Then head to the GrayCliff Chocolatier to sample locally made Bahamian chocolate.
- John Watling’s Distillery - Sample local rums and tour distillery grounds.

We meet right in front of Pirates of Nassau Museum. Guide will be wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and carrying a black umbrella. If you arrive early and do not see the guide please wait until your scheduled tour time before assuming the tour is cancelled and leaving.

Great three hour tour of the city close to port. - Pick up location was clear and easy to find. Lunch recommendations were helpful. Tour guide was very informative. Great value for the price.

Great Walking Tour about history and culture - Great walking tour for those who can walk a good distance unassisted! Very informative. Guide was very knowlegable about the history and culture of the island. She was very friendly, personable and arrived and finished promptly. Loved every moment of it!

A delightful day during our week in the Bahamas - If you are reading the reviews of this walking tour and are incredulous that everyone adds ‘five circles’ and loved it - I promise it’s all true! Krista is knowledgeable, passionate about the Bahamas and its history - and extremely personable! We were joined by another couple who were positively delightful, which made this tour a truly memorable experience! If you are in Nassau and have time, book this tour! You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy learning the history of the Bahamas and being a part of the kindness that infuses this wonderful tour.

Great walking tour of DT Nassau - Very nice walking tour for the highlights of downtown Nassau. Highlights include the water tower, queens staircase, chocolate factory and rum distillery. Other monuments and specialty buildings like the US embassy were passed by as part of the itinerary. It’s a great way to see a quick rundown within 3 hours. Walked away with restaurant recs for the rest of the trip.

Great way to see Nassau - I enjoyed learning about the history of the Bahamas. Krista was very knowledgeable. She broke up the walk in to short segments keeping a good bit attainable pace.
