The Queen’s Staircase is a walkway of 66 steps in Nassau, the capital city of The Bahamas. It was carved out of solid limestone rock by 600 slaves between 1793 and 1794 to create an escape route from the fort above and is a major landmark of Nassau. - Fort Fincastle - Fort Fincastle is a fort located in the city of Nassau on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. It was built to provide protection to Nassau. The fort, which is shaped like a paddle steamer, was built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore to protect Nassau from pirates - Water Tower - The Water Tower. Constructed in 1928 as a means to maintain water pressure on the island of New Providence, The Water Tower lies behind Fort Fincastle and stands at an imposing 126 feet tall. At the Estate, John Watling’s features a free production and museum-like tour, shopping and signature Bahamian cocktails at its tavern. Within some distance from Downtown Nassau, John Watling’s Distillery is located on Delancy Street and is open to the Public - The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory - Today, the Bahamas Rum Cake Factory still sits in the same location that it started out at in 2000 and has created a culture so irresistibly delicious that in 2014 it was recognized by the state as the Official Rum Cake of The Bahamas.
