The fort still has a moat, dungeons, underground passageways, and 42 cannons, which have never been fired in an act of aggression. Tours are available daily but during Wednesday and Friday, starting at 11:30 a.m., a living historical scene lets you step back in time and experience daily life in 18th-century Nassau. It features characters dressed in period costumes, who exhibit basketweaving techniques, kitchen utensils used over 250 years ago, and fruits sold at the market. Tours are available daily, but on Wednesdays and Fridays, starting at 11:30 am, a captivating historical re-enactment allows you to travel back in time and witness daily life in 18th-century Nassau. It features characters in period costumes demonstrating basket weaving techniques, showcasing kitchen utensils from over 250 years ago, and displaying fruits sold at the market. The performance concludes with the firing of the cannon at 12:00 noon.
