Adorned in splendid robes, monks and pilgrims alike will lead the procession to our destination, ascending the mountainside. Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself in a world far removed from the mundane.
As The sacred ceremony begins,you’ll witness and partake in fascinating traditional rituals, including prayers and the burning of Goma wood.
Nasushiobara - -Lunch at a Traditional Japanese Restaurant
Enjoy lunch at a traditional soba noodle restaurant, where elegance meets taste. Savor the healthy and refreshing taste of tempura soba, made with 100% locally sourced, nutrient-rich vegetables. It’s a dining experience that not only nourishes the body but also enriches the spirit.

Shiobara - -Mikaeri no Taki (Mikaeri falls)
After lunch, we’ll visit one of Nasu Shiobara’s highlights – its waterfalls, a marvel in an area boasting over 100 cascades. Crossing the suspension bridge offers a breathtaking view, so captivating that it earned the name ‘Mikaburi Waterfall,’ meaning ‘the waterfall you’ll look back at again and again.’ This spot is also renowned for activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.
Nasushiobara - -Miyouunn-ji temple
During the Heian period, the Taira clan reached the height of its prosperity. However, as times changed, they lost in battle and many members of the Taira family fled from Kyoto to the provinces. Among them was the aunt of Taira no Shigemori, Unzen-ni, who escaped to this area and built a hermitage. This temple, which has a history of over 800 years, stands as a testament to those times.

Stepping into a scene straight from a storybook, you’ll discover the enchanting German-style summer house of Aoki Shuzo, a key figure in the Meiji government, built nearly 200 years ago.

◆Photo Session with “Kansu,” the Head Priest. Kansu is a very high-ranking monk, making it rare to meet or speak with him. While it may be an exaggeration to compare him to the Pope, he holds a similarly esteemed position.
◆3 amazing ladies will ensure you have a fabulous trip. Your main guide is Ann-chan, a local with experience to 30 countries. She will be joined by Kumiko, interpreter guide active in Tokyo, and Mito, who is fluent in English.
◆Shiobara, where this event takes place, is located within Nikko National Park. It takes as little as 55 min to Nikko station by train. Therefore, we strongly recommend planning to visit Nikko around the same time.
