There will be a 15-minute coffee and restroom break along the way.

Here is the approximate time spent on the tour itinerary:

• 45 minutes: Long boat ride up the Navua River to the Magic Waterfall

• 45 minutes: Bamboo raft ride, a smooth 30-minute journey on the traditional transport method of Fiji’s native ancestors, followed by a boat ride to the village
• 2 hours: Enter a traditional village with a Fijian Warrior escort, participate in a welcome yaqona ceremony, learn about the history and culture, enjoy cultural dances by village men and women, experience tapa painting, mat and basket weaving, unearth your ‘lovo’ lunch cooked underground, have a buffet lunch, take a village tour/walk, and enjoy a Fijian farewell song before departing the village.

After being picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to Fiji’s adventure capital district, Pacific Harbor/Navua, to embark on a journey far removed from the stresses of modern life. Cruise along the Navua River, passing by villages, farmlands, untouched tropical rainforests, deep gorges and canyons, winding rapids, and numerous cascading waterfalls. Take a refreshing swim at the largest waterfall on the Navua River before enjoying a leisurely ride on the unsinkable “HMS BILIBILI” (a bamboo raft), reenacting the centuries-old traditional mode of river transport. A Fijian warrior will guide you to the village meeting house, where you’ll experience ancient customs and traditions, including a traditional welcome yaqona (kava) ceremony. This sacred ceremony is typically reserved for visiting high chiefs or very important guests. Discover the history of the village, founded by the lone Englishman John Humphrey Danford. Enjoy cultural dances performed by the village men and women, and savor a hearty Fijian buffet “Lovo” lunch.
