VERY nice tour - BUT: improve your departure time communication!!! - In spite of a MAJOR issue with this tour, I nevertheless give it the best rating, because the tour itself is really recommendable and we enjoyed it a lot. Scenery is beautiful, the river lovely, the waterfall spectacular. The guides were very nice and considerate, making sure that everyone was safe and comfortable. Quality of food was reasonable and what you can expect on a "barbecue in the wild". Again, shade and even seating opportunities were provided. (Just bear in mind: this is NOT an adventure tour. This is suitable for the young and reasonably fit elderly too.) We were on a cruise ship and the ship had offered the same tour (at more than double the price) but I doubt their experience has been as enjoyable as ours. So, what was the ISSUE ? Due to very bad communication of the pick-up time, people obviously did not know when to meet at the pier. We had been sent a message to be off the ship asap as pick-up would be between 7:30 and 8:00 (as opposed to 8:30 in the original tour information). We did not want to be late and hurried to be off the ship at 7:30 (as was another couple). The tour operators only showed up about 20 minutes later, and the tour did not leave until well past 8:30 (again waiting at the main street for two latecomers...). Meaning: we spent more than 1 hour waiting at the pier among exhaust fumes of various tour vehicles, time that could have been spent having a nice breakfast or a nicer view. So, for heaven's sake: communicate the same and proper time to everyone, make sure they confirm, be there at the agreed upon time yourself and deaprt on time. It was indeed a bit annoying that when boarding the boats we were told to hurry to have more time on the river. Well... (just to confirm: timing to be back at the ship was great. Still time left. Nothing to worry at any point in time.)

Great trip - Ben was amazing!!! What a fun filled trip. Such value for the price!! It was like 4 tours in one!!!!

Best Fiji adventure - We had a great time on our river tubing adventure. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend this excursion.

What a great day! - We had the best time on this excursion. Ben and Bale were excellent guides. From the boat ride to the village to the waterfall to lunch, and finally tubing, it was a wonderful day all around. I definitely recommend it.

River Tubing - Our guide Nick was informative as he was fun. The boat ride up the river was worth the price of the excursion. It was incredibly scenic with numerous waterfalls along the way. The tube ride was fun and totally laid back.

Fabulous day on the River - This tour is excellent. It is fairly long (8 hours for us) and varied. 45 minute van ride from port to the river. 12 miles upstream! Sounds far but it was very pleasant in the small (two abreast) wooden boats. We walked some of the river due to the rapids but less than 1/4 mile. Scenery was fabulous. We arrived in the village where it was quiet, peaceful and really humid. Not hot but sweaty. After the village, downstream in the boats to the waterfall where you could swim and stand beneath the thunder. Some chose not some did. The walk up to the falls was dicey in places with wet, moss covered stone and a small handrail. Slow and careful would be best. After the falls, lunch... fish, chicken, native dishes and root vegetables, roasted pumpkin. Very basic. Painted board for a table, bamboo poles to sit up on. Insects enjoyed the food and us! Not biting insects thankfully but a lot of them. Now we entered the tubing section and down the river we went. Maybe a mile or 2 but through all the rapids which were great fun. They may look bad but our guides walked which tells you how deep it was. During the rainy season, they could 20 ft or more of water but, we were fine in the shallows. After tubing, back into thee boats, to the pier, to the vans and back to the port. Whew! Tiring but we would not hesitate to do it again. Finally... our crew/guides. These folks were terrific. Very watchful over those who needed help, careful with directions and kept our safety in the fore front. All around a perfect day with great people except for those tourists that just have to complain about where they sat, the AC levels, the humidity. You all know the type. You are in rural Fiji... sheesh. lol Again, the tour was perfect as usual. Thank you Viator and thank you Fiji River Tubing!

Do It!! - This is a fantastic tour. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a fantastic experience in Fiji. I’m an active 80 year old and the crew was very attentive and made sure we were safe and having fun. 45min bus ride, 45 min longboat, waterfall swim, lunch and water tubing down a great river! They even sang to us. DO IT! Lucy our guide was fantastic

E cellent Suva longboat and river tubing - We participated in the Suva longboat/river tubing experience. Bale, our river tubing guide, and Moses, our boat driver were excellent! Everything was done in a professional, welcoming, timely manner. The villagers were wonderful. Ben's talk at the village was very informative about daily life. Lunch, was fresh and delicious. Tubing was a blast! The added bonus of singing nearly brought me to tears. Beautiful waterfall and pool. Only issue, which was out of their control, were some non-biting flying ants. Just ignore them and enjoy the ride!

Great fun - A great fun experience, well organised from start to finish. Much better value than ship excursion of similar sort.

Disappointed - So we never got to go on this excursion. Partly my fault because we came into Savusavu rather than Suva. The tour operator did send someone to the port but there was no ship. Other Viator operators I’ve booked with have confirmed the ship and date. Feel like these guys should have as well
