Starting from your hotel, we will first head to the village of Eggares. Situated on a fertile plain crossed by two rivers, Eggares is the island’s primary source of produce. We will explore this further with a visit to the village’s olive press museum. After learning all about olive oil, it’s time to put that knowledge to use! In the village of Galini, we will embark on a culinary adventure guided by our host and teacher. The first step in creating a great dish is selecting the ingredients, and what could be better than the home-grown foods, vegetables, and herbs from our host’s own farm? You’ll have the opportunity to see where organic products are cultivated and get a real taste of farming. Once we’ve gathered everything, we will create a traditional Naxian dish from scratch!
