Highlights
- Temple of Demeter - After paying for your admission ticket at the gate, you will walk uphill through a beautiful garden and reach Demeter’s Temple, one of the most significant ancient monuments of Naxos. You will learn about the history of the sanctuary and also have some free time to visit the on spot museum. The Temple of Demeter is closed on Tuesdays and on the 1st of May and instead more free time is provided in Chalki and Apiranthos villages.
- Damalas - At the small village of Damalas, Manolis will warmheartedly welcome you to his traditional pottery workshop and reveal ancient secrets of his art. Afterwards you will visit the restored olive press museum and learn everything about the old procedure of olive oil production.
- Chalkio - Continue to Chalki, an ancient commercial center and a place of beautiful Venetian architecture. You will have approximately 45’ free time to explore by yourselves. Don’t miss the oldest distillery of the island
- Apeiranthos - Next, make a long stop at the famous village of Apiranthos located at the foot of Fanari mountain. Admire the beautiful views of Venetian Towers, marbled alleys, cozy tavernas, verandas, and traditional shops. Here, you will have free time for lunch
- Apollonas Beach - Driving past Koronos village and the famous emery mines, you will reach Apollonas. Get free time at the picturesque fishing village to go for a quick dip and enjoy a coffee or desert by the seaside.
- Apollonas Kouros - End your tour with a visit to the infamous “Kouros”, an unfinished marble Statue of 11 meters, lying in the same spot for more than 2500 years!

Highlights of our tour:
- Admire Demeter’s Temple, a sanctuary dated back in the 6th Century BC.
- Explore the marble paved neighborhoods of Apiranthos
- Photoshoot the gigantic statue of Kouros at the ancient marble quarries
- Visit The picturesque fishing village of Apollonas
- We pick up our guests from central places in Naxos Town, Stelida, Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios and Plaka Beach. In other case our guests can meet us directly at our starting point.
- On Tuesdays the Demeter’s Temple is closed. Instead we will spend more time in our other stops
- This tour will take place rain or shine. Small changes may apply to the itinerary in case of rough weather
- A big part of the trip is through winding, mountainous roads. Please carry travel sickness pills in case you feel uneasy
- The tour guide is not licensed and thus not allowed to guide you inside Demeter’s Temple. You will get all the information about the monument before you enter the gate.
- On the 1st of May the Demeter’s Temple will be closed.

Beautiful, perfect - The view was great Alex was very nice and very easy to understand her explanation . Only things I wish they have is more AC in the bus . But great tour in general

Best Tour in Naxos - Highly recommend for those visiting Naxos, the tour is incredible value and you learn and get to experience a lot in a full day tour.
Thanos was a wonderful guide who shared lots of information about the island. As a local, he is really proud of his island and where he came from which shows during the tour. He made an effort to talk to the visitors and make them feel comfortable and welcome.
The driver Vasilis did a wonderful job getting us to each destination in a safe and timely manner.

Around the Naxos world in 8 hours! - Amazing historical and visually pleasing tour around the entire island. Driver Vasilis is a rock star and could drive formula one - guide Alex was adorable and knowledgeable and made the day exciting. Scenic views, rich history, quaint towns and the one of a kind experience you can only get with a native Naxian. Highly recommend this excursion!

Would definitely recommend this trip! - Thanos was a great guide! And the bus driver amazing on some very narrow roads with long drops below. A very thorough tour. Bring lots of water and euros for all the stops at places which in many cases don’t take cards.

Best experience in Naxos - Absolutely amazing! I have no words for the wonderful 8 hours we spent on the bus with driver Bill and charming Tour guide Thanos!! He made the the whole bus laugh out loud and created in me the wish to move to Naxos. His english is perfect and his joyfull personality made a grown man next to me giggle like a teenage girl! 10/10, would recommand.

Don’t miss out! - Oh my god! I was on a tour with bus driver Bill and tour guide Thanos and the whole experience left me absolutely speechless. Thanos made the tour so special with all his knowledge about all these little details of beautiful Naxos but more importantly with his charming way of including everybody on the tour and making sure they have a good time. Oh and last but not least - his jokes made me giggle like a teenage girl 😂 Booking this tour was by far the best decision of my whole vacation!

Naxos in a day!! - Thanos our guide was really informative and Bill our driver was an expert on those winding roads. This tour gave a really good overview of Naxos with historical context. It was very well organized not rushed. We covered a lot of ground in just one day. Lunch was great and you pick your restaurant or can just explore the town if you do feel hungry.

A must do for those wanting to see Naxos - Such a brilliant day trip around Naxos filled with great culture, history and scenery. The bus tour was exactly what we needed to see all of the main highlights of Naxos in one day and was so easy to book and be a part of. Highly recommend anyone to do this bus tour.

Naxos highlights - Nice tour to see Naxos inland and villages if you don't want to drive. I'd add more time time to Chalkio and Apollonas to enjoy the beach.
