Highlights
- Temple of Demeter - After paying for your admission ticket at the gate, you will walk uphill through a beautiful garden and reach Demeter’s Temple, one of the most significant ancient monuments of Naxos. You will learn about the history of the sanctuary and also have some free time to visit the on spot museum. The Temple of Demeter is closed on Tuesdays and on the 1st of May and instead more free time is provided in Chalki and Apiranthos villages.
- Damalas - At the small village of Damalas, Manolis will warmheartedly welcome you to his traditional pottery workshop and reveal ancient secrets of his art. Afterwards you will visit the restored olive press museum and learn everything about the old procedure of olive oil production.
- Chalkio - Continue to Chalki, an ancient commercial center and a place of beautiful Venetian architecture. You will have approximately 45’ free time to explore by yourselves. Don’t miss the oldest distillery of the island
- Apeiranthos - Next, make a long stop at the famous village of Apiranthos located at the foot of Fanari mountain. Admire the beautiful views of Venetian Towers, marbled alleys, cozy tavernas, verandas, and traditional shops. Here, you will have free time for lunch
- Apollonas Beach - Driving past Koronos village and the famous emery mines, you will reach Apollonas. Get free time at the picturesque fishing village to go for a quick dip and enjoy a coffee or desert by the seaside.
- Apollonas Kouros - End your tour with a visit to the infamous “Kouros”, an unfinished marble Statue of 11 meters, lying in the same spot for more than 2500 years!

Highlights of our tour:
- Admire Demeter’s Temple, a sanctuary dated back in the 6th Century BC.
- Explore the marble paved neighborhoods of Apiranthos
- Photoshoot the gigantic statue of Kouros at the ancient marble quarries
- Visit The picturesque fishing village of Apollonas
- We pick up our guests from central places in Naxos Town, Stelida, Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios and Plaka Beach. In other case our guests can meet us directly at our starting point.
- On Tuesdays the Demeter’s Temple is closed. Instead we will spend more time in our other stops
- This tour will take place rain or shine. Small changes may apply to the itinerary in case of rough weather
- A big part of the trip is through winding, mountainous roads. Please carry travel sickness pills in case you feel uneasy
- The tour guide is not licensed and thus not allowed to guide you inside Demeter’s Temple. You will get all the information about the monument before you enter the gate.
- On the 1st of May the Demeter’s Temple will be closed.

Great experience - Thanos was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. He also checked in with everyone at our stops for lunch etc to see if everything was ok. Thanos was very engaging with all passengers. Was good to see some of the sites of Naxos that we would not otherwise have seen

Good way to see some of Naxos Island - Hey, this was a great day out, good value for the cost and an excellent way of seeing some of the central and northern parts of the island albeit that you inevitably don’t get an enormous amount of time at most of the stop-offs. The highlight for me was swimming at the lovely cove of Apollonas but Chalki and Apeiranthos were also great. Angelica was an excellent guide providing lots of background information about the sights and Naxos in general and Spiros was a really careful driver navigating the tight corners and hairpin bends with great skill. Recommended

Perfect method to visit the Naxos island - We had a wonderful time, Thanos is a very good guide and Spiros is very good driver. The roads on the islands are very narrow and very windy, we were glad not renting a car. We visited a lot in 8 hours and a short swim time was very welcome. Really recommend the trip.

Excellent day tour of Naxos - Thanos was an excellent guide with story telling and humor. Usually not a fan of day tours because there's not enough time to soak in some of the sights but this tour gave enough time and was well planned.

Must do activity - A must do activity- Alex is very knowledgeable about the island and we enjoyed his stories about Naxos and the Greek gods. Made us appreciate the island even more with the context of the history and legends. Staci the driver also did an amazing job navigating the very narrow roads across mountains and through alleys. We’re very glad to have done this tour! Rate this highly.

One day coach tour of Naxos sights - Very good tour. Prompt pick-up from resort. Well-planned tour of sights, and right amount of time at each stop. Knowledgeable guide and excellent driver on narrow and mountainous roads. Very good value for money.

Very nice relaxing and pleasant day. The driver was a real Leader in all these curves on the mountainside! - The scenery was great and the Guide excellent. Beautiful discoveries at the old olive press and the craft pottery workshop.

Ok - The drive in the countryside was beautiful, but not for the folks who get motion sick. The driver was amazing in navigating the winding roads. I felt like the stops were more geared to shopping opportunities. At our last stop we were given the chance to go swimming, but this wasn't indicated in the itinerary, so I hadn't brought a swimsuit and there was nothing else to do in the tiny town. It was a unnecessarily long day.
