• Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima - This revered Marian pilgrimage site commemorates the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in 1917, officially recognized in 1930. Five out of the six apparitions occurred here. The Sanctuary features the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Facing the sea, to the right, lies an impressive promontory known as Sitio, offering one of the most famous panoramic views of the Portuguese coast.
