First day in Sri Lanka - Had a great afternoon exploring the delights of Negombo with Malih as our guide. First time in a tuk tuk for us and that is an experience in itself. The sights and smell of the fish market, seeing the Hindu temple and Buddhist temple and walking the canal made for a great first day in Sri Lanka.

A Tranquil Visit to St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo 🕊️🌊 - On our recent trip to Negombo, we had the pleasure of visiting St. Sebastian's Church on Sea Street. This stunning church is a must-visit for anyone in the area, offering both spiritual solace and architectural beauty. Architectural Marvel The first thing that struck us was the church's impressive architecture. Designed in the Gothic Revival style, St. Sebastian's Church boasts intricate stained glass windows, soaring arches, and detailed facades. The craftsmanship is truly remarkable and adds to the serene atmosphere of the place. A Place of Peace and Reflection Inside the church, we found a peaceful sanctuary perfect for reflection and prayer. The quiet ambiance, coupled with the soft light filtering through the stained glass, created a serene environment. Whether you're religious or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, the church offers a welcoming space for all. Rich History and Community Spirit St. Sebastian's Church has a rich history that is deeply intertwined with the local community. It was heartwarming to see how the church serves as a cornerstone for many locals, hosting regular services and community events. We even had the chance to attend a service, which was a beautiful experience filled with heartfelt worship and community spirit. Accessible Location Located on Sea Street, the church is easily accessible and conveniently situated near other attractions in Negombo. After visiting the church, we took a leisurely stroll along the nearby beach and enjoyed some delicious local cuisine at a nearby restaurant. Conclusion St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo is more than just a place of worship; it is a historical and cultural landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into the heart of the local community. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, this church is a must-visit. Highly recommended for all travelers exploring Negombo! 🌟

Fantastic 'get to know' Negombo tour - Malih was an excellent guide, he spoke great English and explained very well about the places he took us to. The fish market experience was amazing and the temples/churches were beautiful. We would recommend asking for Malih, he was a very safe, respectful driver and guide.

Negombo City Tour - I had a great morning tour of Negombo with my driver Shageerh. Highlight was a walk around the fish market and Angurukaramulla Temple. The Dutch Fort was interesting with the visitors for the city jail waiting outside to visit family. Lots to see and well worth doing.

It was fun. - Malith was great! He was very personable and told us a lot about the history of the temple/church. He took my individual wishes into account (I wanted to buy spices). He is also a good driver. The tour with him was fun.

Surcharges……. - We actually didn’t get to go. The tour was booked and paid for and payment confirmed. A short while later we were asked to pay additional for transportation from our hotel to the start of the tour despite our hotel being in the list of serviced hotels, those that they said included hotel pick up and drop off. We were reluctant to pay the additional so cancelled. I’m sure the tour would have been interesting but the request for additional payment did not feel right.
