NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA
Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. This site of historical and archaeological importance is dominated by a massive rock column nearly 200 meters high.

SIGIRIYA
Minneriya National Park - Located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, Minneriya National Park was designated a national park on August 12, 1997, after being declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The park was established to protect the catchment of the Minneriya tank and the surrounding wildlife. The tank, built by King Mahasen in the third century AD, is of historical significance.
Pidurangala Rock - Situated a few kilometers north of Sigiriya, Pidurangala Rock has a history intertwined with Sigiriya. In the 5th century, King Kasyapa relocated monks from Sigiriya to a new monastery on Pidurangala Rock. The ancient cave temple here houses artifacts reflecting Buddhist, Hindu, and Western beliefs. The stupa near the temple entrance is believed to mark King Kasyapa’s cremation site. Pidurangala offers a more challenging climb than Sigiriya and is not recommended for those with poor physical fitness.
SIGIRIYA – DAMBULLA - KANDY
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, it houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. The relic has historically played a significant role in local politics, as it is believed that whoever holds the relic governs the country. Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, is a World Heritage Site primarily because of this temple.
Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - Sri Lanka, rich in culture and tradition, offers a vibrant and unique show of traditional dances at the Kandy cultural show. The highlight is the fire-walking act, where performers walk barefoot across a pit of red-hot charcoal, emerging unharmed.
KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA
Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Nuwara Eliya is renowned for its tea, thanks to its geo-climatic conditions. With altitudes over 6,000 feet, cool climates, and moderate rainfall, the region is ideal for tea cultivation. The area produces tea with unusually small leaves, resulting in a light liqueur unique to the region.
Ramboda Waterfall - Ramboda Falls, standing at 109 meters, is located in the Pussellawa area of Nuwara Eliya at the Ramboda Pass. Formed by the Puna Oya, a tributary of the Kothmale Oya, it creates a twin with Dunsinane Falls, which is formed by the Pundalu Oya. The two falls combine at the base to form a Y shape.
Nanu Oya railway station - Known for one of the most scenic train journeys in the world, the ride from Nanu Oya to Ella offers breathtaking views of vast tea plantations, waterfalls, and colorful temples. This journey is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery of Sri Lanka’s highlands.
ELLA - YALA
Nine Arches Bridge - The Nine Arch Bridge in Ella, part of the Demodara loop, spans 91 meters and stands 24 meters high. Its nine arches create a picturesque scene, especially as it is surrounded by dense jungle and agricultural land. The area behind the railway is forested, and tea cultivation takes place below.
Yala National Park Sri Lanka - Yala National Park is the most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka. It consists of five blocks, two of which are open to the public, along with adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names, such as Ruhuna National Park (Block 1) and Kumana National Park (Yala East). Located in the southeast of the country, the park spans the Southern and Uva Provinces.
Rawana Falls - Named after the legendary King Ravana from the Indian epic Ramayana, Rawana Falls is said to be the place where Ravana hid Princess Sita in the caves behind the waterfall. The kidnapping was in revenge for Rama (Sita’s husband) and his brother Laxmana slicing off Ravana’s sister’s nose.
YALA - GALLE - BENTOTA
Galle Fort - Built first by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards, Galle Fort is located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Its history dates back to Ptolemy’s world map of 125–150 AD, when it was a busy port trading with Greece, Arab countries, China, and others. It is mentioned as a “port of call of the Levant” in the cosmography of Cosmas Indicopleustes.
Hummanaya Blow Hole - Hummanaya is a natural blowhole created when seawater rushes through a submerged cavern and is pushed upwards. The water shoots up every few minutes, depending on sea conditions, often reaching heights of 25 to 30 meters.
Mirissa Beach - Mirissa is a popular beach destination in Sri Lanka, known for its golden sands, palm trees, and vibrant atmosphere. The area features numerous restaurants, trendy shops, and hidden design hotels, making it a favorite spot for surfers and beach lovers.

Madu Ganga Biodiversity Area - The Madu Ganga wetland, along with the smaller Randombe Lake, forms a complex coastal ecosystem. The estuary and mangrove islets create a rich biodiversity area. A boat ride offers fish therapy and a chance to observe the area’s natural beauty.
Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery - Habaraduwa - The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda Beach is one of 18 hatcheries along Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Established in 1981, it is located in the village of Kosgoda and is notable for hosting all five species of turtles that visit Sri Lanka. This is unique compared to other hatcheries on the island, which host only some species.

Arcade Independence Square - This monument marks the location where Sri Lanka’s first parliament was opened by HRH Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, on February 4, 1948, signifying the start of self-rule. The statue of the first prime minister, Rt. Hon. Don Stephen Senanayake, known as “The Father of the Nation,” stands at the head of the monument. It has served as a ceremonial assembly hall and is now a venue for religious events and national celebrations.
Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall - As the first purpose-built convention center in Asia, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall offers professional conference facilities and the chance to visit Sri Lanka, often called paradise on earth.
Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple - One of Colombo’s oldest Buddhist temples, Gangaramaya was founded by the scholar monk Hikkaduwe Sri Sumangala Nayaka Thera in the late 19th century. It is a significant temple in Colombo, blending modern architecture with cultural heritage. Located on Beira Lake, the temple was completed in the late 19th century. After the Venerable Sri Sumangala, his chief pupil Devundera Sri Jinaratana Nayake Thera transformed the temple into an internationally recognized institute.
