Catamaran cruise - We were picked up from the hotel lobby at 9.45, our tour guide for the day was called Washington, he was very knowledgeable & very friendly. We stopped for a rest break on the way to Negril, there was also a gift shop there, which I thought was quite pricey. We arrived in Margaretville, we were given our wristbands & had something to eat. The food & service was great. We went to the beach to line up for the Catamaran, but were a little shocked to find out that we had to wade thru the water to get on it. We thought you only needed a change of clothes if you were snorkeling. Also there was a ladder to climb up, I'm sure it was very entertaining to watch us, we found it hilarious once we got to our seat. The trip was great, reggae music, a good dj & compere who sang & danced. The drinks & snacks were in with the trip. A lot of people did the snorkeling, when we arrived at Ricks Cafe there was a little glass bottomed boat that did 3 trips to the island. You had an hour & then got the boat back to the Cataraman, we started back & watched the sun going down. It was a worthwhile day out as long as you are quite mobile & take a change of clothes.

This Is A Full Day of Mixed Pleasures! - If you are curious to see other parts of Jamaica, meet new friends, learn interesting history of Jamaica and have the best driver ever then choose this Holiday Tours and if you're blessed you'll get Mr. Washington as your on-the-go concierge of sorts. He was very attentive, clear and timely with communications and just all-around great travel guide. His humor was always timely too. Our driver, Irwin, while quiet, was a Roadmaster. He hugged the curves of the road (as we say in the States) like as a true professional. He kept us punctual, safe and comfortable while on the bus. The journey from the Montego Bay area to Negril included multiple stops to pick up other passengers, a stop at a Negril-area shop to pick up souvenirs, alcohol or whatever you choose, lunch, dance, swimming and games at Margaritaville and then a grand party on a catamaran with captain Dickson(?). We had a blast. While on board, you will have time to snorkel, drink, snack, mingle, dance a lot and take a small boat shuttle to Ricks cafe. The stay there is about an hour so you'll need to decide if it's worth it to leave the catamaran for that quick excursion. Either way, the choice is always yours! Bring sunglasses and a hat! Victoria was our bartender on board and the crew kept it live the whole time. It will be dark when you travel on the bus back to your lodging so get all of your pictures in on your way to Negril. It's a very full day so get ready and enjoy this excursion to the fullest...however that looks to you!

Well worth the money for the experience we had - Picked up from our hotel lobby by our driver Kevin who was superb. He was very entertaining and informative, telling us all about the parish’s we were passing and also doing a fun quiz. This passed time on long drive to Negril. We arrived at Margaritaville on time and spent just under couple of hours on 7 mile beach which is stunning. There was a lovely beach bar/restaurant which we had lunch at. We then got on the catamaran and this is where the fun started with snorkelling (saw a Ray) and DJ on board with unlimited rum punch etc. We sailed along the coast to Ricks Cafe and we were lucky enough to see a dolphin jump and go under our boat! We taken ashore and braved jumping off the cliffs which was scary but once in a lifetime experience..spent about 1hr and a half there then headed back via catamaran to 7 mile beach to take a taxi back to our hotel..well worth the trip!!

Cruise, Snorkeling, Rick’s cafe, gift shop shopping - Arnell was our tour guide. He got us to and from our resort safely. And he is so patient! I asked so many questions lol and I had a few request like stopping to get a charger and he adhered. Sweet person all the way around. Thank you!

Great way to see Jamaica! - Our family had a wonderful day on the catamaran. Dex and crew were entertaining while taking good care of everyone on board. We enjoyed the snorkeling and stop at Rick’s Cafe. We got a lot of great photos and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Jamaica. Our bus driver, Kevin, was also great. He was on time, an experienced driver and hilarious. I would recommend this excursion to others.

Fun-Filled Catamaran Adventure with Stunning Views and Great Vibes! - This was a great trip overall! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the wait at the beach before boarding the catamaran. That said, it did give us some nice beach time to relax and enjoy the sand and sea. Once we got on the catamaran, the adventure really began. The first stop was a snorkeling spot where we saw lots of colorful fish in the water – absolutely beautiful! Just a heads-up: watch out for the mini clear jellyfish, as a few people in our group got stung. The catamaran itself was well-stocked with snacks, though it would’ve been nice to have some more substantial food onboard, especially with the bar serving a variety of drinks (the rum punch was a hit!). After snorkeling, the trip took us past a stunning castle before arriving at Rick's Cafe. This stop was so much fun – lively and exciting! It was a bit crowded, so make sure to plan your time wisely while you're there. The return trip was a party on its own, with great music, a DJ taking song requests, and a fun atmosphere. There were beanbags to lounge on and a dance area for those who wanted to keep the energy up. We had an absolute blast and took tons of photos to remember the day. All in all, a fantastic experience with just a few minor hiccups. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, adventure, and fun!

Great Excursion - We did the Catamaran Cruise in Jan and had a great time! The supposed start time for the excursion was at 9:45, however we were not picked up from our hotel until 10:10. However, I was able to get into contact with the driver via Tripadvisor that morning around 9ish. Assuming that the first pickup started at 9:45, I think a little more communication regarding pickup times would be helpful. A schedule detailing estimated hotel pickup times / a gameplan for the day could be send out the night prior would definitely put patrons at ease, as no confirmation regarding pickup time until 45 minutes prior to the planned time was a little nerve wracking. Despite all that, our bus ride was very pleasant, and after a short stop at a gift shop in Negril, we arrived to Margaritaville at noon, so the ride took a little under 2 hours. While there, we had about 2.5 hours to kill on the Seven Mile Beach before boarding the catamaran. The catamaran ride itself was very fun, Dex was a great host, and we had a great time snorkeling and felt that we spent the perfect amount of time in the water. After snorkeling, we made our way to Rick's Café and spent about an hour there, before heading back to Margaritaville after sunset. Once we got back to Margaritaville, our bus driver was waiting for us and we made our way back to our hotels. Overall, the whole excursion itself including transport to and from the hotel was 11 hours, and boat ride itself was 3.5 to 4 hours.

Fun experience, BUT…. - Margaritaville, 7Mile Beach, Catamaran Sun Shine, Rick’s Cafe, all great and highly recommend. However…we were staying in Montego Bay, and the 2 hour each way bus trip made it not worth it. The ROAD is so bad, the driver was constantly swerving to avoid potholes, which was impossible. I can’t even accurately describe how bad it was other than a highway to hell. Save your time, money, and body, and do something in Montego Bay, or just stay at your resort.
