Fascinating Nemocon Salt Mine Adventure with Our Tour - Our group visit to the Nemocon Salt Mines, organized by us, was an unforgettable experience. From the start, our private transportation guaranteed comfort and ease of getting to the destination. As we entered the mine, we noticed that it was cold, so we recommend wearing a jacket. As tour leaders, we provided an expertly guided tour that took us through impressive tunnels, where we learned about the history and process of salt extraction. A curious fact that we shared was that here the Chilean film "Los 33" was filmed, which added a cinematic touch to the visit. Salt and Mirrors - My group was lucky enough to be guided by Carlos from Bogota to Nemocón and back! It was a 3-part trip: salt mine museum, salt mine tour, and Nemocón exploration. The first 2 were co-guided by someone from the salt mine. Carlos gave us plenty of local trivia on the way there, and we got into the salt mine on time. The mine was incredible! We loved walking around and seeing the mirrored water, the salt dripping from the ceiling, and the movie set. Very unique experience. We stopped for some local pastries on the way back as well. This was on a weekday, and Nemocón was surprisingly devoid of tourists - it gave it a personal feel. Maybe all of the tourists were crammed into the cathedral instead? Keep in mind that there is a lot of traffic during rush hour, so you may get back late if you choose a later tour (it was almost 7 hours for us all told, and we left at noon) but that wasn't the tour company's fault :)

Great tour/amazing guide! - Amazing tour and Tomas was an excellent guide who gave tons of great information. We opted for Nemocon because it was less touristy and we are glad we did! Only maybe 10-15 people there with us at the mine.
