Akamas Peninsula - This customizable walk is set in the northern part of Akamas, a pristine and nearly untouched region of Cyprus.
In the recommended route versions, the ascent leads to the peak known as “Moutti tis Sotiras,” offering unobstructed views of the north coast from Cape Arnaouti, the tip of Akamas, towards Chrysochou Bay and the northwest, extending all the way to Pomos in the northeast.
After a break for a picnic and to take in the majestic views, the walk usually continues to the Baths of Aphrodite on the Aphrodite trail (initially a steep descent, with the final stretch on a coastal dirt road near the cliff).
The walk ranges between 7 and 13 km, depending on the traveler’s preference, profile, conditions, and time availability.
As this is a private trip, it can be customized. Adding a swim or snorkeling can be a delightful addition, especially during the warmer season.
