Amazing Trekking Tour Guides! - The experience provided by the Nepal Nature Adventure Destination was truly once in a lifetime! Chitra and Lukesh are such knowledgable people and their expertise and care made this trek unforgettable. I had never been to Nepal before and had never experienced a trek of this kind. I learned so much during every conversation with Chitra and Lukesh, and the interactions I was able to have in each village were so meaningful due to their connections and relationships with each village. This experience is one I will always cherish and the thoughtfulness of Chitra, Lukesh, and everyone I had the opportunity to meet along the way is something I will never forget. I cannot speak more highly of this trekking/tour experience!

Generous and Kind - My group had the most incredible experience with Chitra and Lukesh. We loved getting to hear their stories along the trek and felt safe and knowing we had experienced guides with us despite heavy rain and hail. We learned so much about the culture and the way of life of those living in the villages we visited along the way. The generosity and hospitality we encountered on this trip was truly amazing and inspiring. The end of the trip was bittersweet as we were sad to say goodbye, but also happy knowing we made a positive impact on their livelihoods.

A truly enriching experience! - This could not have been a more wonderful experience! Having never done a trek like this before I was nervous about what to expect. However, it could not have been a more enjoyable and enriching experience. Chitra and Lukesh, our guides, were knowledgeable, kind and curated a wonderful trek. We spent the days hiking through the most stunning terrain I have ever seen and got to learn more about the culture from Chitra and Lukesh. We got to stay at community lodges where the accommodations were comfortable and the food was tasty. All of our hosts were generous and could not have been more welcoming. The pace and trekking difficulty were manageable and the guides are more than happy to stop whenever needed. All in all it was one of the coolest experiences of my life and it wouldn't have been the same without the wonderful guides Chitra and Lukesh! It is an opportunity I wouldn't pass up and would do again!

An Eye-Opening and Heartwarming Immersive Experience in Nepal - My recent immersive study trip (undergraduate only; held by Santa Clara University) to Nepal was a life-changing experience, thanks to Chitra and his dedicated team. This journey was not just about trekking the Annapurna Circuit but about diving deep into the heart of Nepal’s rural challenges and discovering the profound efforts being made to address them. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this trip was meticulously planned and deeply rooted in meaningful, impactful work. Chitra, with his 15 years of experience with The Institute for Himalayan Conservation Nepal, and his team provided us with an invaluable perspective on the complex issues surrounding food insecurity, economic disparity, and climate change in Nepal. Our trek through the Annapurna Circuit was nothing short of breathtaking. The natural beauty of Nepal left us in awe at every turn. We were greeted by stunning vistas, with vibrant rhododendron flowers painting the landscape in brilliant hues of red and pink. The highlight of our trek was witnessing the sunrise at Mohare Danda—a truly magical moment where the first light of day cast a golden glow over the snow-capped peaks, creating a scene of unparalleled beauty. For those concerned about the physical demands of trekking, I can assure you that this trek is quite manageable, even for those who are not the most active. The trails are well-maintained, and the pace is leisurely enough to enjoy the scenery without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking to experience Nepal’s natural beauty without the intensity of more strenuous hikes. The trek itself was an incredible adventure, but it was the cultural exchanges and the bonds we formed with the villagers that made it truly special. Living in these communities allowed us to connect deeply with the people and understand their way of life. Chitra and his team have made significant strides in creating job opportunities through eco-tourism, hiring local villagers to be porters and guides. This initiative not only provides valuable income to these communities but also ensures that the economic benefits of tourism stay within the villages, fostering sustainable development. Every day was punctuated by delightful moments, including the chance to savor some of the most delicious masala tea I’ve ever had. The rich, aromatic flavors of this traditional drink became a comforting ritual that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our daily adventures. We enjoyed hot showers every day and stayed in comfortable accommodations, a testament to Chitra’s commitment to providing a quality experience while supporting local livelihoods. Our guides, Lukesh and Chitra, were exceptional. Lukesh provided insights into why many young Nepalese seek opportunities abroad, shedding light on the lack of local job prospects. Chitra’s passion for community development was palpable as he shared the success stories of eco-tourism projects and the positive impacts on local economies. Their dedication was evident in every detail, from the informative talks to the personal connections we made. This immersive study trip was not just an educational journey but a deeply personal one. I returned home with a richer understanding of Nepal’s challenges and a heart full of gratitude for the experiences and friendships made. The stunning landscapes, vibrant rhododendron blooms, and the awe-inspiring sunrise at Mohare Danda were matched only by the warmth and generosity of the people we met. Add to that the daily enjoyment of delicious masala tea, and it’s clear this trip was an unforgettable blend of cultural immersion, breathtaking natural beauty, and heartfelt connections. I highly recommend this trek to anyone, including those who are not the most active, as it offers an accessible and rewarding way to experience Nepal's beauty and culture. Chitra and his team deserve the highest praise for their dedication and the unforgettable experience they provided. Thank you, Chitra and team, for a trip that I will cherish forever.
