- Nerima City - Seize the chance to visit a local’s residence and immerse yourself in authentic cultural and gastronomic traditions. Emi will greet you at Nerima station and you’ll take a short stroll to her abode. Upon arrival, Emi will offer you a refreshing cup of mugi-cha (barley tea) to kick off your exclusive Japanese cooking class. You can select any three items from the following menu: Miso soup, Gomaae (vegetables with sesame dressing), Karaage, Ginger fried pork, Tonkatsu, Okonomiyaki (*contains fish-based soup stock), Gyoza, Fried salmon with hijiki seaweed and edamame, Tempura, Onigiri. When booking, please communicate your top choice for the main course. It’s important to note that Emi is unable to prepare different main courses for each individual, so the entire group must agree on a single main course. The cooking lesson with Emi will span approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, during which you’ll engage in discussions about food and culture, followed by the enjoyment of the dishes you’ve contributed to preparing. To top off your experience, you’ll receive recipes to replicate the Japanese dishes at home.
