Next, you’ll prepare stuffed vegetables and stuffed grape leaves (dolmades).
Then we will learn how to make kalitsounia.We use our rolling pins to roll out the dough for that!
Appetizers are prepared last but enjoyed first. Tzatziki, Ntakos, and Cretan salad.
Time to eat! Enjoy all of the beautiful traditional Cretan dishes you’ve created with copious amounts of local wine.
Be sure to leave room for dessert. Something sweet and seasonal.
Exact location will be emailed after confirmation. For idividual travellers or group less than 4 send me a message to check availability and participate with an other group.Feel free to ask for a discount for a group of more than 10.
Duration is 4-5 hours depends on the number of participants. We can prepare lunch (10:00-14:00) or diner (16:00-20:00)

Best Cretan Excursion!! - It was so much better than advertised! It was 4 hours of learning how to cook in the Cretan style, but even more about family and laughter and pure joy! We were with a great group of strangers to us and had an absolute blast in their home kitchen. We left with full bellies and fell in love with Cretan tradition. They are a truly special family! We met Veerna and Kostas’ boys and heard family stories and even taught Kostas a new word!!! We would highly recommend to open-minded travelers.

Fantastic and tasty authentic cooking class - Such a fantastic class!! The family is amazing and their property is just gorgeous. So peaceful and they built it themselves. A really wonderful experience and the food at the end is soooo good. Could not recommend this enough if you are looking for something fun to do in Crete. Thank you so much veerna and family 😊

Amazing cooking class experience! - Amazing experience - Veerna and her family were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Must try this Cooking Class - I got to experience this cooking class which is taught by Veerna. Her team included Kostas, Aleks, and Makis (sorry if I misspelled your names). The chemistry and camaraderie between Veerna and her team was very enjoyable as a guest. Her story (I'll let her tell you) is filled with adversity and barriers to start the business, which is now thriving. We got to make some traditional cretan meals that Veerna learned from her family members. They utilize Whatsapp for communication which helps big time if you don't have a phone plan only data. Makis assisted pre-experience with any questions. Kostas and Aleks were incredibly entertaining and hospitable. You will enjoy this class. You can book direct which is their preference.

Can’t Miss Cooking Experience with Amazing Family!! - What an amazing experience with great food, great friends, and a great family!!! Veerna, Kostas, and Makis were such incredible hosts and the food was absolutely delightful. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Crete!

A fabulous experience in Chania! - A perfect way to learn more about foods and the culture and history of Crete. We had lots of fun and met some nice people from all over the world. Chef and her family were so friendly and welcoming. Everything was very organized, and all the cooking tools and equipment were top quality. The dishes were absolutely delicious, and I will definitely be making them when I get home since they provided all the recipes! I highly recommend!

Delicious unforgettable class - I had the best time on this cooking class! Veerna was so lovely and welcoming and shared so many stories of her life and cooking. It was a very intimate class and I had such a wonderful group! We made delicious food which is easy to make but also show stopping! I am vegan and Veerna accommodated very well for me. The location is beautiful and I had such a great time and highly recommend it to anyone, it is worth it!!

A great experience for families experiencing Chania - If you're in the Chania area, add this cooking experience to your list of must dos. We attended with family - children and grandparents - and had a great time making food and memories. The location is beautiful, the food is some of the freshest I've had in Crete, and Veerna and her family are kind, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to get to know. We've done several cooking activities in our travels and this one is at the top.
