We will pick you up from your hotel between 10:00 and 10:15 am. In the morning, you’ll first encounter the lunar landscape of Cappadocia with its unbelievable rock formations in Devrent Valley. Next, visit Pasabag’s fairy chimneys, where the sound of the wind mingles with the ‘songs of fairies’ near Zelve. Enjoy lunch in Avanos, a center for terra cotta art since 3000 BC, and watch a demonstration in a traditional pottery workshop. In the afternoon, explore the famous Open Air Museum to see the finest examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia, featuring rock-cut churches adorned with frescoes and paintings from the 10th to 13th centuries. Continue to the panoramic viewpoint at Esentepe for a breathtaking view over Goreme, including the entire Goreme valley and village with its fairy chimneys, rock formations, and cave houses. Then, visit Uchisar Castle, the highest point in the Goreme region. Conclude your day with a visit to the Underground City before being transferred back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
