Highlights

Goreme Panorama - Göreme Panorama is a well-known viewpoint in Cappadocia, Turkey, celebrated for its breathtaking panoramic views of the region’s distinctive rock formations and fairy chimneys. It’s an ideal spot for capturing stunning landscape photos.

Kaymakli Underground City - Kaymakli Underground City, located beneath the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli, has been open to visitors since 1964. The residents of Kaymakli (historically known as Enegup) have built their homes around nearly a hundred tunnels of this underground city. Even today, locals use the most accessible parts of these tunnels as cellars, storage areas, and stables, which they reach through their courtyards. The city features low, narrow, and sloping passages. Although the underground city has 8 floors, only 4 are currently open to the public, with spaces organized around ventilation shafts.

Pigeon Valley - Pigeon Valley, situated in the Cappadocia region of Turkey, is a favored tourist spot known for its picturesque scenery, rock-carved dovecotes, and hiking trails. Highlights of Pigeon Valley include: Rock-carved dovecotes: These unique structures were carved from soft volcanic rock by ancient inhabitants to raise pigeons for food. Visitors can explore these dovecotes and learn about traditional Cappadocian life. Hiking: The valley is a popular destination for hiking and trekking, offering beautiful scenery and natural rock formations. Panoramic views: The valley provides sweeping views of the surrounding landscape, including fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, and other natural wonders of Cappadocia, which can be admired from the top of the valley.

Goreme Open-Air Museum - The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles an extensive monastic complex with numerous refectory monasteries, each featuring its own remarkable church. It is a must-visit for any traveler in Cappadocia, centrally located with easy access from all directions.

Uchisar Castle - Uchisar Castle, perched at the highest point in Cappadocia on the Nevsehir-Goreme road, is just 5 km from Goreme. The top of Uchisar Castle offers a stunning panorama of the surrounding area, with Mount Erciyes visible in the distance.

Avanos Pottery Workshop - Avanos, a town in central Cappadocia, is renowned for its pottery. Visitors can stop at a pottery workshop to watch a pottery demonstration and even try their hand at making pottery.

Devrent Valley - Known for its unusual rock formations, Devrent Valley, also called Imagination Valley, features the densest cluster of these large stones in Cappadocia, which seem to take on a life of their own.

Pasabag - Pasabag, located on the road to Zelve from Goreme or Avanos, is famous for its striking earth pillars found in the middle of a vineyard. The name Pasabag means “the Pacha’s vineyard,” with “Pacha” being a common Turkish nickname for a general. Also known as Monks Valley, this site features cones carved from tuff stones, a vineyard, and several tuff cones right next to the road.

Green circuit - Very good the Guide!! Good information and predisposition!!! Too bad some sections of the Ihlara Valley were closed for spare parts. I would have liked to see the churches in that area.
