DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN LEH

Arrive in Leh, a region known for its mountain passes and unique lunar-like landscape, offering a perfect opportunity to experience nature’s unparalleled beauty. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation and acclimatization.

DAY 02: VISIT TO SHAM VALLEY (66 Kms/ 2 Hrs one way)

After breakfast, embark on a drive to visit the Likir and Alchi Monasteries, and the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara. Lunch will be at Alchi or on the way back to Leh. On the return journey, visit the Hall of Fame museum, a tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil war, and the Shanti Stupa.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

DAY 03: EXCURSION TO KHARDUNG LA (80 Kms – 3 hrs one way)

After breakfast, drive to Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at an altitude of 18,380 ft. Return to Leh and visit the Leh Palace and Leh Market.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

DAY 04: LEH – PANGONG TSO/LAKE (160 kms – 4 to 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 14,500 ft. Pangong Lake is one of the largest and most stunning natural lakes in the country. The lake is divided by the international border between India and China, with two-thirds located in Tibet (China). The drive will take you through Changla Pass, the third highest motorable road in the world at 17,350 ft. Upon arrival, check into your camp. The rest of the day is free to explore the scenic surroundings of Pangong Lake.

DAY 05: PANGONG – LEH (160 kms – 4 to 5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Leh, stopping en route to visit Thiksey Gompa, one of the largest and most architecturally impressive gompas, featuring 12 stories and several temples. Finally, visit Shey Palace, home to the largest Victory Stupa, topped with pure gold, and a 7.5-meter statue of Chamba or Maitreya Buddha, crafted from copper and brass, gilded with gold and silver, and adorned with precious gems. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)

DAY 06: DEPART LEH

In the early morning, you will be transferred to the airport to board your onward flight home. (B)
