Raj Ghat - Next visit Raj Ghat which is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation there is an elementary square platform of black marble, symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated followed by his assassination in 1948. A dedicatory ritual takes place each Friday, in his memory.

India Gate - Stop for photos at India Gate which is an Arc-de-Triomphe-like 140 feet high gateway that was constructed as a War Memorial in memory of the 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives during the First World War. Birla Mandir Temple (Lakshmi Narayan) - Finally visit The Laxminarayan Temple (also known as Birla Temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxminarayan. Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti, also known as Narayan, when he is with his consort Lakshmi. The temple was constructed by an industrial Raja Baldev Birla & was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. With a condition that the temple would not be restricted to the Hindus but people from every caste, creed & country would be allowed inside.
