Delhi holds the status of India’s capital and could be considered its culinary hub as well. We acknowledge the presence of numerous other smaller locales that might equally lay claim to such a title; nonetheless, Delhi offers a taste of everything. Its food scene is remarkable, thanks to its role as a crucible of diverse cultures, traditions, and people…

Tasty food and friendly guide - Ujjwal was a very good guide! He was punctual, very well organized and friendly! We could easily spot the tour Leader in the DBC Orange t-shirt in Old Delhi. So many different dishes! We loved the food and had a great time!

Adrenaline inducing and fun tour. - Want an unforgettable, exhilarating, seat of your pants adventure? Go on this tour! Wonderful guides who somehow steer you through traffic, narrow laneways and quiet streets. I think it’s a perfect introduction to New Dehli.

Excellent introduction to India - I am glad I did the street food safari with Ujjwal on my very first night in India. Walking up and down the crowds on Chandni Chowk while tasting some delicious food (and less delicious, depending on your tastes) gave me the confidence to tackle the crowds and the cuisine on my own in the following days as Delhi was very intimidating on my own. You also talk about the history and culture along the way which is very useful. My favourites were the jalebi and the choley bature. My only suggestion would be to include more mains/savoury dishes and I found the majority of ones we tried were sweet.

Absolutely delicious tour! - Loved the tour, and would even do it again haha. The food was simply amazing, and the guide did a good job at combined food, a bit of history, a bit of culture in the tour, so it was very educational and interesting as well. Recommended :)

pretty awesome way to experience Delhi and its delicious foods - The DBC street food safari is an up-and-close experience of Delhi. We met at the Red Fort metro station and from there dove straight into the busy streets of Delhi. We started with a delicious samosa at a place that has been doing samosas for many years. My guides were incredibly kind and very knowledgeable. They told stories about the history of buildings, of foods, of streets... We did not only go from one food place to the next but also made the time to visit temples and other beautiful places such as old havelis. The foods ranged from savoury snacks to sweets, and ended with a proper mouth-freshening pan (no worries, this did not include tobacco, just the taste explosion of many different ingredients such as anise seeds and rose water and coconut and more). I totally loved the dal kachori with its crispiness and juiciness at the same time. Definitely worth it!

Incredible tour - Yeswin, our guide, was wonderful, he tailored our tour to incorporate the spice market. The food was great, the roof top experience was fantastic. Overall can not fault this tour, for us it was the highlight of our Delhi experience. Thank you Yeswin!

Great first experience of Delhi Street food scene - I was lucky enough to join one of the DBC tours. I did a food walking tour along with a group. Till now India never stops to amaze me with its vast variety. Just in a big loop of a small place, we could taste quite a lot of things! And the time went by so quick. It was indeed a great experience. It is always get a recommendation from a local person wherever we go. Especially when it comes to food. Also when the confidence you get when you're with a person who is very knowledgeable is immense. I thank Himanshu for a great food tour. I'm sure I'm going to do one of the cycling tours done by Delhi by Cycle soon.

Old City Food Tour - My partner & I did the walking tour with Jeswyn. We had a good time & tasted some delicious local foods. We liked how we were taken to some of the quieter back lanes where we could ‘breathe’ a little, away slightly from the intense business on Chandri Chowk. Jeswyn was knowledgeable about the city and gave some interesting information on the history of the city and how people live today. We were the only two on the tour and we did feel Jeswyn could have individualised the trip to our wants a bit more, which we did communicate to him. We felt quite rushed throughout and we were hoping to sit and enjoy some local food for longer than 10 minutes before needing to move on again. The other aspect we were a little surprised by was how the guide often was the first to taste food that was bought by him for us all to share, as well as eating a substantial portion of many dishes. All in all, a reasonable tour and a good way of experiencing some local cuisine & areas around the Old City.
