India Gate - This 42-meter-high war memorial in New Delhi honors Indian soldiers who fought in World War I. Surrounded by lush gardens, it stands as a symbol of patriotism and is a popular tourist destination.
Parliament House - This iconic circular building in New Delhi houses India’s legislature. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it showcases impressive colonial architecture and represents India’s democratic governance.
Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - One of India’s largest mosques, built by Shah Jahan in 1656. This magnificent Mughal masterpiece features towering minarets, a vast courtyard, and intricate marble and red sandstone architecture.
Chandni Chowk - Experience the vibrant charm of Old Delhi with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, known for its bustling lanes, historic bazaars, and street food. Visit the Spice Market (Khari Baoli), Asia’s largest, filled with aromatic spices and local flavors.
Red Fort - A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of Mughal grandeur, built by Shah Jahan in 1648. Admire its impressive red sandstone walls and historic architecture from the outside.
Agra Sightseeing and Journey to Jaipur.
Taj Mahal - Early morning pick-up from your hotel at 6 AM. Enjoy the sunrise view of the Taj Mahal, then return to your hotel. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, it houses the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and also the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.
Agra Fort - After visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise, return to your hotel. After breakfast and check-out, visit Agra Fort. This historical fort in Agra was the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638, when the capital moved from Agra to Delhi.
Jaipur - After visiting Agra Fort, drive to Jaipur City. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri Fort. Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in northern India, just west of Agra, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Red sandstone buildings cluster at its center. The Buland Darwaza gate is the entrance to the Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. The Diwan-E-Khas hall features a carved central pillar.
After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, continue driving to Jaipur City. Upon arrival in Jaipur around 7 PM, check into your hotel and stay overnight.
Jaipur City Tour and Return to Delhi.
Amber Fort - Pick-up from your hotel at 8 AM to start your Jaipur sightseeing tour. First, visit Amber Fort. Located in Amer, Rajasthan, India, Amer is a town with an area of 4 square kilometers, situated 11 kilometers from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Perched high on a hill, it is the main tourist attraction in Jaipur.
Jal Mahal - After visiting Amber Fort, stop at Jal Mahal (Palace on Lake). While entrance is prohibited, you can take some great pictures here. Jal Mahal is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India. The palace and the lake were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
City Palace of Jaipur - After visiting Hawa Mahal, proceed to the City Palace. Established at the same time as the city of Jaipur by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber in 1727. Jaipur is the present-day capital of Rajasthan, and until 1949, the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Next, visit Jantar Mantar, also known as the observatory. The Jantar Mantar is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, completed in 1734. It features the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - After visiting Jantar Mantar, stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). While entrance is prohibited, you can capture some great photos of this building. Hawa Mahal is constructed of red and pink sandstone. The palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the zenana, or women’s chambers. The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.
Around 2 PM, you will complete your Jaipur sightseeing. You can depart to Jaipur Airport. If your departure is from New Delhi, then at 2 PM, drive back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi around 8 PM. Departure at Airport or Hotel in Delhi.
New Delhi - After completing the Jaipur sightseeing at 3 PM, drive back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi by 8-9 PM. Drop off at your preferred location in Delhi - Hotel / Airport.
