Felt safe, adventurous and wild at same time. - The tour was a great blend of chaos and calm. Single file through celebration filled streets for the day of god Rama, then into a quieter spot to taste and talk. We were so lucky to have guide Varun between just four of us. A completely incredible morning- you’ll need a lie down afterwards so keep that in mind.

Half day walking tour of Old Delhi - Our tour guide, Raj, was born and brought up in Old Delhi and knows it like the back of his hand. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Old City's well as India and its culture and history as a whole. A fascinating (half day) tour, on which Raj took us to places we would never have found on our own. Lunch at the Masterji Kee Haveli was excellent too.

Old Delhi must see - An amazing experience! Varun was an excellent guide who enthusiastically shared his passion for Old Delhi. All feelings of apprehension were swept away immediately! It was a quieter day as it was a public holiday and many shops were closed. We loved navigating the lanes something we would not have done on our own. Loved the street food!!! So good to be able to finally taste it. We ended our tour with dinner in a private havali, completely unexpected.the markets had really come to life as we took a tuk tuk back to our driver. If you come to Delhi you must do this your! The perfect end to a fabulous time in India.

Best introduction to India's food and culture - tarting our three-week India trip with this tour was truly the best introduction we could get. Even now, after coming back home, this tour was one of the most memorable moments of the entire journey. Coming close to ordinary people in their everyday life, perfectly guided by the genuine Old Delhi citizen, Vivian, gave us an understanding of almost everything else we encountered later during our stay in India. The photo service provided was also very appreciated since it easily feels awkward to take pictures of people and situations without knowing whether it is appropriate or not. Some of Vivian’s photos during our walk were among the best of all photos taken during the trip.

A walk around “Old Delhi” with a friend filled with history, culture, & tons of food! - A wonderful experience with Varun walking through Old Delhi & learning the history/background of the area. There is so many delicious street foods to try along the way, so make sure you come hungry! But then after walking around the area, you also get the pleasure to visit Dhruv’s BEAUTIFUL & historic private residence in the middle of Old Delhi where his wife cooks you a delicious traditional meal. This experience is full of culture, history, and a whole lot of food to keep you more than full for the rest of the day - what isn’t there to love about an experience like this?!

Indian food tour - We went on a 4 hour food tour, it was fantastic. The hustle and bustle of old Delhi just added to the whole experience. The food was outstanding and our guide Stanley was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this tour, you will not be disapointed.

‘We tasted the ‘Deli” in Deli finishing off with a fabulous meal in a Haveli, absolutely wonderful & no Delhi belly!!!’ - What a fantastic tour!, my friends & I, 4 of us hugely enjoyed a truly wonderful time experiencing Delhi food & the vibrant street life. We were thrust into the overwhelming yet magical world of utter mayhem, swirling sounds, vibrancy & intoxicating aromas. Venturing off with Raj Dhar our excellent tour guide, we taken on a fascintating walk through the myriad of alleyways, colourful street markets, tiny hole in the wall cafes & food stalls sizzling with spices plus the hidden corners of calm & culture around Chandni Chowk. Included a visit to Delhi’s biggest spice market laden with huge sacks of herbs & spices, giant sized jars of pickles, chutneys & nuts piled high. Stores selling anything from cinammon bark, cardamon, turmeric root to dried gooseberries & chilli in all forms & guises, wafts of it permeating the air. Raj introduced us to some of his favourite street food stalls where we ate Poori Bhajee, Somosas & various Punjabi sweet treats. Finally finishing off at Dhruv Gupta’s beautiful heritage family Haveli where we were presented with an outstanding feast of the most delicious home cooked Punjabi dishes provided by Dhruv's wife….this truly made it an exceptional & special day! To sum up our tour ‘We tasted the ‘Deli” in Deli finishing off with a fabulous meal in a Haveli, absolutely wonderful & no Delhi belly!!!'

Crazy, Colourful, Chaotic Old Delhi - We’re home now, in self isolation🦠 BUT this was one of the best tours I have ever been on...anywhere We were warmly greeted by Dhruv at the meeting spot, introduced to a small group (about 10 in all) & to our guide Varun. For the next few hours we were taken on what felt like a peak behind the scenes of Old Delhi. We were given timely explanations of the history and background right up to the stories of current day traders & inhabitants of this most exciting neighbourhood. Interspersed were stops at several small cafes & eateries for some of the most delicious food we had on our entire trip. There was a rickshaw ride, a visit to a small flower market, another to a spice market. Best if you don’t eat breakfast on this day as we were then treated to a visit to Dhruv’s lovely home (haveli/mansion) for a spectacular vegetarian lunch prepared by his wife & also delicious. To top off this great day we were then emailed a photo record of our day taken at random on the tour. What a great way to see this thriving old area with passionate & friendly locals who are willing to share.

Brilliant experience - A terrific exploration of food and life around Old Dehli in the capable hands of our guide. A golden opportunity to learn traditional market ways, current and historical life styles. Our guide, Raj, cared for us deep within the tiny lanes during unexpected poor weather and concerns over Covid-19. Easily organised via our entertaining host, Dhruv, who shared his unique family home. We had all questions answered and a very good time!

Well thought out visit to old delhi - The organizers have gone through a great deal of thought to make the tour a comprehensive overview of this historical part of Delhi. Verun took care to provide tasty samples of the various street foods that would be compatible with this westerners stomach and he was also extremely patient with my myriad questions. The highlight was a visit to the organizer's gracious and historic haveli for yet more delicious food and tea. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Delhi.
