Jaipur - Kishore was our guide and he was great at giving us good historical knowledge of Jaipur and the different forts. He also took some amazing pictures of us as a family! I recommend good footwear as there is a lot of walking in the forts and palaces.

A wonderful day in Jaipur - Our trip to Jaipur was truly a day spent back in time during the city’s glory days. We were welcomed by Mr Manoj, our guide who was very helpful and gave us a lot of insight and history on the places we visited. He was very friendly and took great photos of us. He suggested us amazing places to eat and we definitely recommend Mr Manoj’s services. I will definitely be recommending my friends and family to opt for this trip.

Top tour guide, top photographer. Our driver Balver was also lovely and very accommodating. It was worth the long drive from Delhi - a tiring day but so worth it.

Far too long on the road - We took the one day trip to Jaipur from Delhi and while part of it was excellent, part of it was not. This trip was taken two days after a one day trip to Agra which was a positive experience. What was good about this Jaipur trip? - Definitely, Jaipur. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour, especially the fort which was the first venue. I found the visit to the observatory fascinating, being interested in astronomy, but my wife switched off for this part of the tour - the information was a bit over her head, in part due to English not being her first language, and also in that a lot of technical information was given very quickly - I struggled to keep up with it and as said above, I do have some relevant knowledge in this field However, overall a very interesting visit and I would recommend this tour to anyone. So what was not good? The journey. We were told on Whatsapp that the driver would pick us up from our hotel at the agreed time, 7am, but would probably arrive up to 15 minutes early. As the tour was advertised to last 13 - 14 hours we thought an early start would be handy and were waiting for him at 6.45am. No driver - OK, wait till 7am as agreed. Still no driver. After a message to the operator, we were told that he would be with us in 5 - 10 minutes. This at 7.02 No driver, then more messages, and finally the car turned up at 7.30am. Delhi traffic at that time of day is light - do not blame the traffic for his late turn up! So we got into the car and proceeded to Jaipur. Perhaps a word of apology from the driver? Maybe a greeting? Nothing. Total silence for the 4.5 hour drive. Silence from the driver, that is, my wife and I did communicate. No stop en route, no query as to whether we were comfortable or needed a toilet stop. I doubt he spoke much English, but I do not know We arrived in Jaipur and were met by our guide and transferred to another car. The tour then went ahead as above, we enjoyed it. At the end of the tour we were driven back to Delhi in this second car, the driver was pleasant and conversational. The expressway between Delhi and Jaipur was excellent and the speed limit was 120kph. That we were returned to Delhi at (mostly) 80 - 90 kph when long stretches could safely have been travelled faster may explain why the return trip took nearly 6 hours. I accept that the sections off the motorway were bound to be slow with heavy local traffic, but half an hour (possibly more) could have been cut from the journey time (each way - the morning drive was also slow). So our day started at 6.45am and we arrived back at the hotel at approximately 10.30pm. Over 15.5 hours I cannot recommend this programme to anyone. The day is too long. Yes, Jaipur is well worth the visit, but not in this one day format. I would strongly recommend combining it with a visit to the Taj Mahal with a stay overnight in Agra. We also did the one day Taj Mahal visit - we enjoyed it - but we feel we spent far too much time in small uncomfortable cars driven too slowly. Given the cost of these trips, better cars (ie more comfortable) driven with more urgency would seem sensible
