Your local guide will meet you in Vrindavan and show you around the town where Krishna spent his childhood. There are over 5 000 temples in Vrindavan. On this tour visit the two most famous temples - the Bankey Bihari Temple and Prem Mandir Temple. The beautiful idols of Krishna and his divine love Radha along with other maidens are a sight to behold. The Bankey Bihari temple is unlike other Hindu temples as it does not have any bells. It is believed that bells disturb the sleep of Krishna, who is worshipped here in his child incarnation.

Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple - After the temple visits, drive on to the nearby town of Mathura. Visit the Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple that is constructed on the site where Krishna is believed to have been born. Within the temple complex is a water pond where the child Krishna was bathed for the first time after his birth. Spend some time visiting the six shrines of the temple. The main shrine has beautiful 6 feet high idols of Krishna and Radha.

The walls of this ancient style stone temple are covered with intricately carved sculptures of flora, fauna, dancers, musicians and Hindu deities. The temple was constructed on the tenets of traditional Hindu architecture and does not have any ferrous metal. There are over nine domes, 230 intricately carved pillars, 148 life sized elephants and over 20 000 idols in the temple.
