Awakening with New Delhi - Great tour on the bicycle in the morning from 6.30 am - 10.30 am. Bicycles didn't have gear which is adequate as there are no hills anyway. I always felt safe and got a good view on a couple of familiar as well as less obvious sightseeing spots. Besides the visit of the attractions the two knowledable and super friendly guides Abishek and Chitti(ranjan) encouraged our group of 5 people to appreciate tea and learn about land and customs until we finally closed the tour with a yummi local meal back on Connaught Place.

Surprises & Improvisation - I had the opportunity to do a private tour on 4th Dec 2017. My guides were the crazily energetic and down to earth Sagar and Chitti. In spite of it being a rather chilly and slightly polluted morning, Sagar and Chitti made the tour worth the while. The tour started with Sagar educating me on the concept of jugaad in India which basically means innovation/improvisation. Expecting the unexpected and dealing with it to push for a positive outcome. This came into practical usage quite quickly as I had originally intended to do the Old Delhi Tour but was taken on the New Delhi one. This, however, was the fault of my own as I booked the wrong tour! However, although i originally thought that the New Delhi tour would be a little boring as it seemed like it concentrated on far flung monuments and cycling on wide and long roads without much cultural experience, I have to say that it was most enjoyable as it gave a rather intimate insight into the lives of (dare I say?) the everyday lives of New Delhi's citizens. To my surprise, the new delhi tour was quite refreshing as the areas visited had much variety from the government side to the india gate to the back alleys of business-as-usual new delhi. Overall I also have to say that this being my 3rd tour with Reality Tours in 3 years (first 2 were in Mumbai), the company really does have a consistency with its guides - which, to me, is the most important part of the tour. Sagar and Chitti were more than willing to share their own experiences growing up in Delhi and had ample knowledge on the statistics when it mattered. It was also important to me that when faced with questions that they didn't quite know the answer to, they would say so before giving an educated guess based on their experiences. I mean, no one knows all the answers about any place anyways! A sincere and real tour with consistently awesome guides, I'd recommend Reality Tours to anyone looking to experience more than just the surface and tourist elements of a city. Thanks again Sagar & Chitti!

Bike tour of Lodhi Gardens, Presidential Palace, India Gate - Really fun! If you love to bike, you will enjoy. Felt totally safe despite Delhi traffic; just make sure to listen to your guides. Abi and Harvey were great! Snacks along the way!
