First trip to the Taj Mahal. - This was my first time booking a tour to the Taj Mahal and it did not disappoint. The driver Suno, tour guide Malik, and their service was excellent. Suno, picked me up fron my hotel on time and the journey was smooth. Malik is very knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. I recommend and would definitely go again.

A Grand Day Out! - Taj Mahal review Our morning started with a smooth ride to the Taj with our driver Sonu. He proved that it IS possible to travel without contributing to the noise pollution. However, later on there was some minimal, justified honking as it got busier through the day. All tolls and fees were included with the premium package which was all pre-booked in advance. Stopped half way there for a break and enjoyed some authentic masala tea which Sonu claimed was a reputable source. It was served in a “one time use” clay cup/ mug and was quite nice with a fresh gingery flavour. My partner and I have since reused the mini clay pots for flowers. 🪴 Sonu was also happy to stop for any toilet breaks required. We picked up our tour guide Deepak and transferred to an electric golf buggy to enter the area of the Taj and used this same transport to go in and out with Sonu picking us up at each exit to travel to the next destination. Entering the Taj, Deepak briefed us with a detailed history of the East and West Gates as well as the Royal Entrance. We opted for the recommended “licensed” photographer as we wanted to properly capture our moments together. We spent 15,000.00 Rs which was £140 (£70 between my partner and I) for 150 photos + 20 bonus photos and every photo on a USB except the photos are uploaded onto my iPhone regardless. We just received a hard and soft copy. The hard copy was a small album with roughly 20 of the photographer’s best photos in it (we had no say in the photos going into the album unless we made our own) which was delivered to us at the buffet lunch at the Marriot 5* Hotel. All the information provided was incredibly interesting, accurate, educational and thought provoking. Going without a guide would certainly have been an inferior experience. We also wouldn’t have felt as safe as we did with Deepak who was never out of sight. The photographer could’ve been more patient with us wanting to take our own photos as well and not made us feel rushed. We almost didn’t go to the Baby Taj after our lunch because Deepak assumed we didn’t want to go because it was “optional” but it was no problem when we said we did want to go. In short, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj were priceless, lifelong memories that were worth every penny. Furthermore, we visited the craftsman shop, I bought a mortar and pestle too which the vendor claimed to be marble. The makers are supposedly descendants of the families who built the Taj. (Don’t know how much I believe that…) however, they seem quite impressive. We were immediately skeptical and on edge. He tried buttering us up with chai tees and displaying his mildly entertaining table light show. He was very clearly eager to squeeze money out of us as internationals (UK) but you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to. If you do, bring cash but be prepared to haggle. If you’ve the stomach for it and feel no shame, guilt or embarrassment then you can strongly bring the price down to about half the price. If they say no, you can leave and they’ll likely chase you or offer you something else. You can watch them unravel. Deepak was kind enough to take us to a shop to buy a Kurta as we had a wedding after the tour. Some were roughly £75-100+ but I won the fight to get a simple one for 4000.00 Rs (£37) just to match my partners blue dress. Sonu then drove us calmly and safely (as can be and with seatbelts and A/C) to our hotel. 9/10 or 4.5/5* Only thing we would do differently is bring more cash for more fun haggling! and wear a mask to attempt to filter out the poisonous Delhi air. Day 6 of breathing the air was not pleasant and worrying.

Great Day In Agra - I couldn’t imagine visiting the Taj Mahal without a guide. Deepak was very fun and knowledgeable about everywhere we stopped. And he was kind enough to go at our pace after a long 6 days of traveling. Our driver Bobby was also very nice and got us to Agra from Delhi (and then around the city) very easily. We were able to change our drop off location so that we went directly for the airport right after so we were able to bring all of our bags. I would recommend for anyone visiting Agra and the Taj Mahal.

Comfortable way to visit Agra - Our guide, Deepak, was a wealth of knowledge and was able to adjust the tour for what we were interested in. Our driver, Bobby, was also very good at navigating the streets of Delhi to Agra and his car was very comfortable. My friend and I only spoke English and they were very accommodating and we were able to converse with them well.
