Sanjay Colony is a slum in the heart of India’s capital city, New Delhi. We aim to conduct tours in this area to support the local community. Our guides come from humble backgrounds and are residents of the area. This is an educational tour where you will learn about the various professions locals engage in to make a living, and we will also discuss the social issues faced by the community. The locals are friendly and welcoming, often greeting visitors with a smile. As a responsible tour operator, we strive to make our tours as non-intrusive as possible.

Excellent guide - We did the tour of Sanjay Colony, very interesting to see and observe how they live. The guide explained everything, very friendly. I definitely recommend taking this tour and seeing the reality with which they live.

Powerful tour of the Sanjay colony - This was a great opportunity to see another side of Delhi with someone that grew up here. The tour truly opened my eyes and made me understand a little more about the lives of those living in the Sanjay colony. This tour (or just a visit on one’s own)- should be included on everyone’s visit to Delhi! And I highly recommend going with Vijay who displayed his breadth of knowledge of Delhi and his own neighborhood.

A fascinating insight into life in Delhi - We originally hadn't booked this tour - we thought we'd feel very uneasy on it. But we'd been on Vijay's spice market and temples tour and he told us that this was his favourite - of the place where he grew up. And it was such an interesting and friendly place! You get such an insight into the life of the city - and one that few visitors see. And the people were so friendly! Doubtless because we with such a great guide!

Remarkable Experience - Vijay took me on one of the best tours I have ever been on. We visited families in their homes, saw children in their schools, and mingled with locals for an unforgettable afternoon. He was kind, knowledgeable, gracious, hospitable , and FUN guide. It was so humbling and inspiring seeing people with so little, so happy.

Authentic India - We took several tours with Vijay and we had a fantastic experience. Vijay is an excellent guide who can customize the trip based on your interests but also recommend itineraries that are representative of the authentic Delhi. He is extremely personable and can connect at a deep level for you to fully understand India beyond the stereotypical image. I highly recommend him!

Slum does not mean a bad place... just "poor". VJ was great - we saw a different side of Delhi by visiting sanjay Colony Slum. Going on a guided tour with our guide VJ was a safe way to visit the area, otherwise we would have been lost in the maze-like surroundings. We visit a local school, temples, homes, and small businesses, and heard stories about local residents, community spirit, and what life is like living in a slum. Also found out that Slum does not mean a bad place... just "poor". VJ was great

A Must-Do Tour when in New Delhi !! - This is indeed a must do tour when visiting New Dehli. It was a really educational part of our visit to India. Our excellent tour guide, Vijay, provided us with lots of information and made us comfortable all throughout our stay. Discovering Sanjay Colony - The experience with this tour was a profound insight into the life of the residents of Sanjay colony. If you are into witnessing the real lives of the most hidden corners of India like me, this is indeed the tour for you. This is such an eye opening experience and this wouldn't be as memorable as it was without the help of such passionate tour guide, Vijay!
