‘Crown of the Palace’ is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (r. 1628–1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall.

Amazing Taj Mahal trip! - I was a woman solo traveling in India. The driver and the tour guide were incredible. I was able to rent a traditional dress to attend Taj Mahal. And also I bought some jewelry. If you are a solo traveler, this tour it’s for you!

Great tour. Tour guide was great - Great tour. Our guide Anshu was very nice and really made a great tour. We saw all of the Taj Mahal, got a lot of information and so on.

Enjoyed the trip and learned a ton! - Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and both the guide Anshu Singh and the driver Manoj Sen were great! Anshu was very knowledgeable and had great insights and showing the unique aspects of the architecture you would never know without a guide. Manoj was a great and very safe driver and even willing to make stops depending on what you want to do like certain kind of shopping. Both were great! The lunch was very nice at a Marriott hotel in Agra. Just be aware the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday, which I was not aware of so could not get very close, so would not recommend booking on a Friday.

Quick Trip - We had a very short stay in Delhi but we wanted to see the Taj Mahal. We a wonderful driver and tour guide that made for a very pleasant tour, lunch and visit.

Tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Fort - Wahid, otherwise called Shane, was a very good and knowledgeable guide. He rescued a bad start as the company did not communicate start time correctly. We appreciated the way he showed us around and also the fact that in both places he slowed down and gave us time to take photos and absorb the surroundings. Most guides will rush you along. Would happily go again with him if we have the need or chance.
