Constructed by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this massive red sandstone fortification features a complex of palaces, mosques, and gardens, showcasing the grandeur of Mughal design. The fort’s strategic location on the banks of the Yamuna River allowed for both defense and lavish living. Its iconic structures, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Diwan-i-Am, offer a glimpse into the opulence and administrative prowess of the Mughal Empire. Agra Fort remains a testament to India’s rich historical and architectural heritage, attracting visitors from around the globe.

Additional Information

“See the world. It’s more fantastic than any dream,” said Ray Bradbury, an American author. This sentiment is especially true for the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. This tour is perfect for those visiting cities other than Delhi and who have just a day to fulfill their dream of seeing the Taj. To make this possible, we invite you to choose and book your own flights to Delhi. Give us between 10-12 hours from airport to airport, and we will ensure you have a memorable visit to India’s most beloved monument. All you need to do is plan to be in Agra anytime between sunrise and sunset (6:30 am to 6 pm), which are the visiting hours of the Taj, and spend at least an hour there. Considering it takes approximately 3.5 hours to drive from Delhi airport to Agra, you just need to plan your arrival and departure flights to Delhi accordingly. Also, note that there may be direct flights to Agra from certain cities in India. We offer our services only if your arrival or departure is from Delhi.
