Doug is awesome and so is this tour! - Doug is awesome! There isn't much to "see" on this tour but he does a great job of painting a picture to help you envision things. Doug welcomed questions and by the end of the tour had me loving Marie Laveau too! I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour - Jeremy made this tour really enjoyable. We particularly liked how he spoke to us about the historical context and was clearly about what was factual and what was legend. He made sure that the wheelchair user with us was always considered. Highly recommend!

This is the only voodoo tour you should take in New Orleans. - This is the only voodoo tour you should take in New Orleans. It was informative about the actual history and concepts of voodoo and we learned a lot while also gaining an appreciation of Marie Laveau - a truly amazing historical figure. Our tour guide was interesting and kept things fun and light, a great story teller.

Doug was FANTASTIC! - My husband and I ended up being the only ones on the tour with Doug today and it was nothing short of fantastic! It was amazing to hear the ACTUAL history of VooDoo, with comparisons drawn between the religion and other paths. He told us at the beginning he hoped we’d come to love Marie Laveau as much as he does, and I’d have to say we were quite taken with her by the end. Doug had so much knowledge about our stops, but also a great deal of RESPECT for the history, culture, and practice all together. He was entertaining and funny— it didn’t seem to make a lick of difference that he wasn’t speaking to a large crowd, he gave it 100%. 10/10 would go on any tour with him again!

WHAT JUST HAPPENED. - Unclear…. But I’m pretty sure I just had the most amazing tour guide in New Orleans happen to me. Doug is a wordsmith and a performer. He’s a little bit of magic. He shared a wealth knowledge… so much about the ACTUAL history of Voodoo (let’s not get started on a certain cough show cough) and left me wanting more. If you’re looking for entertainment and a lesson rich in culture told by someone who is passionate about this city- pick Hottest Hell. Literal fire.

Our tour guide Doug was passionate and so knowledgeable about the real history of voodoo and the local area; he was also a great storyteller! Everyone in our group said we would definitely come back for another tour.

I Got Educated, Not Hungover - I've always wanted to go to New Orleans. There is so much history and I wanted to explore all of it, but first I really wanted to learn about the voodoo culture. Thanks to my tour guide Doug. I learned so much more then I ever expected to in an hour and a half tour. Doug is very knowledgeable about New Orleans and all the different cultures that were brought together to make NOLA what it is today and has stories to go with all of it. Not only is Doug very knowledgeable he is also very entertaining and I promise that you will not be board. I would have loved to do another tour to hear more stories, but unfortunately I had to go back home. If you want a great tour with lots of history. Sign up for this one. I promise you won't regret it and don't wait until the last say of your trip like I did. You may want to take another tour. I left NOLA educated not hungover. Thank you Doug
