Rich History and Culture experience - John our guide absolutely made this tour! He was engaging and very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and culture of the French Quarter. It was obvious he loves the rich history here and helped my sister and I really appreciate it too! Cafe du Monde was everything we expected and a must do, so the fact it’s included is an awesome bonus to a great tour.

MUST DO IN NOLA - My mother and I went to New Orleans this past weekend 6/7-6/9 and we decided to book the Destination Kitchen Walking Food Tour through the French Quarter. I will start with how surprised I was that my mother suggested this tour since she is not an adventurous eater, and she has MS, so a walking tour seemed like a bit of a stretch. That being said, our tour guide (I believe her name was Kristi) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Having had a bad experience the night before with another tour we were a bit nervous about how this one would pan out and we are so happy that we went. Our guide greeted us with a smile and a face full of glitter at the meeting spot. I explained that while my mother could walk just fine, she could not go at the pace that most of us walk at in a city... a slight jog 🙂. She reassured us that she would be taking the tour at a leisurely pace and that it had a number of spots where we would be reviewing the history of food in the city, have the opportunity to sit in the restaurants, grab drinks and use the restroom if needed and we did just that. Everyone in the group was so wonderful and had such a great time enjoying the food on the tour and better yet learning about the history of this amazing city. We started with the Beignet and some other delightful treat that I can only compare to a cider donut made with rice... (YUM) then we moved on to the French Market (a must see) to enjoy alligator and a po'boy. Everyone in the market was so amazing and our server at stop three Brian was efficient and friendly despite our time constraints. As we moved on the food got even better and the restaurants more elegant. I will not spoil the surprise with everything else we tasted (what's the fun of that)! This tour and more importantly this guide (Kristi...???) is a MUST DO when you are in New Orleans. 10 out of 10. Thank you for the wonderful experience. - Coming in Hot from Boston loaded up on Espresso.

Exceeded expectations - Tour guide Jonn was fantastic. We had a large group and he remained engaged with everyone and remembered names, hometown cities and all, very impressive! He was so kind and willing to show and help us take group photos at some beautiful spots. Those are memories, we'll cherish forever.

Loved it! - Nate, our guide, was great. Lots of great information, fun facts, etc. It was both entertaining and informative. Be sure to choose the Cafe DuMonde option for an extra special treat at the end.

A Great History Tour. - The tour leader Jonn, brought the tour to life with his knowledge of the New Orleans area. Most of all, you could tell from the way he presented the history, it was with genuine passion. I believe it made the tour much more enjoyable and connected to the culture of NOLA. Also, thanks for this tour allowing me to have my first beignet.

Great honeymoon stroll - Our guide Johnn was amazing. We had a hard time with the parking spot app but he called us to check in to make sure we were on the way. He told us all the fabulous places to get the NOLA specialties and took great pictures of us for the honeymoon album. He was great. Enjoyed him and the tour so much.

Walking Tour New Orleans French Quarter - The only complaint I had with the tour was walking in the heat. That is not a fixable problem for the tour company. The guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining. His comments also included tips on what else to do during our visit. Overall a great experience.

Disappointing - My tour seemed very disorganized and scattered. The guide, Suzy, was nice but started the tour around 20 minutes past the starting time and ran about 10 minutes late at the end. She had some interesting facts but the tour wasn’t cohesive. Also the description of the tour makes it look like we’ll get beignets and cafe au lait at the end and won’t have to wait in line. Instead the guide just gave us coupons to get them on our own later. I wouldn’t do this tour again.
