Go with the real stuff. - I you want half-myths and goofy schtick, a commercial tour might be better. But if you want the real history with all the fantastic, colorful, traumatic and chaotic elements that make this city the unique treasure that it is, then this is the place to go.
I myself enjoyed a repeat tour.

Prepared, nice and professional - Glen was our guide for the city walking tour. He has been immediately very clear also for us Italians who clearly do not speak English as a first language. Glen provided a lot of insights and stories about each and every spot plus being a musician himself he could really provide a lot of information about music, jazz, blues, music.
He also explained a lot about the architecture of the city and its history making us feel like we could enter a bit more in the New Orleans but easy vibe.
Two hours flew and we were surprised at knowing only in the end of the tour that this was only his first tour because truly ha was a natural.
Thanks Glen you made our last day in New Orleans very special

A great overview of the French Quarter and launching point to keep exploring - I was in NOLA for a conference and didn’t have much time to explore the city. I saw a flier for this walking tour and thought I’d give it a try and hoped to learn a little New Orleans history.
What a great tour I had with tour guide Viky! The two hour walking tour gave me a great overview of early New Orleans history and highlights of the French Quarter. Vicky planned a great route with tons of info and was happy to answer questions along the way. If you’re looking for some guided exploration of the French Quarter, I would highly recommend!
These tour guides are volunteers and your tour fee goes to Friends of Cabildo to support the state history museums- a bonus if you’re being thoughtful about where your money goes.

Excellent Way to Tour the French Quarter - Jane gave us an awesome tour! This is my husband and I’s first time in New Orleans and we did the walking tour the first day with Friends of Cabildo. Definitely the best way to see the french quarter. Jane was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide prepared to answer all our questions. We loved it!

Good factual tour - We did the 1:30pm tour and it was just my husband and me. Our tour guide Keith was enjoyable, accommodating and knowledgeable. Lots of historical information and we really enjoyed the discussion on architecture and design. Two hours, but with stops, it wasn’t as much walking as I anticipated. It was nice that the meeting location, which is the 1850 house museum, provided free waters, and a restroom to use. We also got tickets to tour the museum as part of our ticket price.

If you are a history buff you’ll love this tour! - Take a walk with your guide Mark Landry around downtown New Orleans and have him share all of his knowledge of the city and history with you. The architecture is like no other and the history of the city goes so far back in time. Amazing experience and would recommend it to anyone. Take in all of the street performers as you walk the city as well. Took so many pics. Wouldn’t recommend bringing your teenage nephew with you, LOL, but like I said if you love history or even have an interest in it, give it a try and don’t forget to tip Mark at the end as he volunteers his time to do this for the visitors of New Orleans.
