Walk, learn and experience the French quarter - Jim, our guide, brought in a historical perspective as we walked through the French Quarter. This amplified the experience and provided for a deeper understanding of what we were seeing. He encouraged questions and answered all of them with many interesting details. The walk was at a comfortable pace, good for our steps and stimulating for the minds, an experience to repeat!

Excellent insight into the French Quarter - We met Jay the volunteer guide on the museum courtyard and had a great chat before the tour, the tour although we didn’t notice it at the time covered a good part of the French quarter, and from knowing very little at the start we came away with a lot of knowledge tips and memories. Jay was relaxed walked us on the shade as much as possible which was a good thing and talked rather than ‘preached’ a tour. Extremely well worth it and very beneficial

A relaxed stroll - A very relaxed and informative stroll around the French Quarter- a great introduction to New Orleans. John , our guide, was very helpful and pointed us to sights that were tucked away behind the main sites.

Left us wishing for more. - When we arrived we were asked to wait in a courtyard with other tour guests. After a few minutes the guide realized that there were too many people and a second guide was not going to arrive. Unfortunately the guide we did have, John, spoke relatively quietly and didn’t have a clear talk track. He told the group that he’s only lived in NOLA for 2 years and was still learning. Right off the bat, he misspoke about the story of the 1850s house which had a sign on the wall 10 steps from him. With all the logistical issues and lack of engaging content our party chose to step away an hour into the tour.
