Must-visit in New Orleans! - Very worthwhile visit. Exhibits are wonderfully done, with lots of videos, first-person narratives and even special effects. I thought I knew a lot about the war, but I learned so much more. Don t miss the 4-D Tom Hanks-narrated movie. You need to allow a full day to see everything. Volunteer greeters are everywhere, and they are friendly and helpful. Special moment for me: finally seeing my father s brick (he served in England and France during WWII, and my mother purchased the brick as a memorial to his service).

AMAZING - I rated this a 5/5 because it was very detailed and a lot of exploration and the movies /shows were top tier but my little brother is 7 and he didn’t really enjoy it so I would recommend this for family’s with teens or older adults it’s also very inclusive wheel chair accessible

A Memorial to our Greatest Generation ! - The WWII Museum is a must see for everyone visiting New Orleans. I would recommend arriving early to see all 6 exhibits on this very spacious large campus. My wife and I found it very moving, especially the Liberation Pavilion. Buy tickets for the Victory Theater it is well worth it. After spending 4 hours of our day there it was nice that there were restaurants on site to get an early dinner.

You need 2 days to see it all - Had a limited amount of time on a rainy Monday before my flight home, so I decided to pay a visit. Bought what is called the best value package which included access to all of the exhibits, and the 2 experiences. The first experience, Beyond All Boundaries can only be described in 1 word, "moving". The second one was in a rotating theater, very well done. This museum is huge, and to see all of the exhibits and learn about everything requires allot of time (1 of the volunteers there said to see everything would require 2 days) which unfortunately I didn't have. I basically just walked thru what I believe was every room. I must come back to New Orleans again and allow myself more time (possibly a second day) to see and experience it all.

Interesting museum - Well organized. Excellent museum. Lots of interesting artifacts. The guidebook needs to be better as it was confusing to locate some areas.

So much to see! - We went to New Orleans specifically for the WWII Museum. My husband loved it. I asked several people how much time to allow to see the museum in depth - most people told me 1 to 1 1/2 days. However, if you are someone who really enjoys WWII history, I would allow a full 2 days to see everything.

A learning and thoughtful experience! - Being English, it was good to hear the story of WW2 from the USA perspective, we saw the 4D experience with Tim Hanks narrating, which was good! The rest of the museum is interesting and like most war museums you hear the same stories. What was excellent was meeting a WW2 veteran who was sitting at a table and allowing passer by’s to speak with him, I could not believe that no-one was talking to him, for someone over 100 years old it was amazing to here his experience in the Pacific during the war. Thank you Steve Ellis and I was humbled to meet you and very nice to talk about life! I did not spend enough time in the museum as there is so much to see but did enjoy the experience. Do go! it’s a journey into the freedoms we have today and good for all to learn from!
