Join us on this guided tour through the most unique city in America, in the best possible way to explore it…on a bicycle. The Heart of the City is a 3 hour exploration of the 5 most historic neighborhoods of New Orleans. The trek will shed light on New Orleans’ traditions and heritage. As you are guided through town and into the St. Roch Cemetery, you will learn about the city’s colorful past and vibrant culture. A native New Orleanian will take you on an exploration of the historic core of the city.
Group Maximum 10 travelers
- All participants must be over 4’11”
- Minimum age is 13 years
- A maximum of 10 people per booking
- Dress according to the weather, close toed shoes slippers with heal strap are acceptable. No flip flops allowed .
- Wearing flip flops/sandals while riding a bicycle is hazardous and are not allowed. Wearing sandals with a heel straps are the perfect alternative.
- If you are driving the Basin Lot at 1205 Basin St. has the best rates in the French Quarter area.
- We are located right next door to Twelfth Night Coffee if you need coffee before the tour. They serve coffee/espresso beverages and savory croissants/pastries.

Excellent tour ! - Eric was a fantastic tour guide giving us information historical as well as personal experiences into the culture . The bike ride was definitely easy and flat and not an issue if you are not experienced . Highly recommended!

An adventure through the heart of the city - Eric was a great tour guide and extremely knowledgeable He took us to some obscure neighborhoods that we never would have found on our own. The history of NOLA is amazing and he took it to the next level! Will book his garden tour when we come back.

Glad we chose this company! - Perfect. What a lovely way to understand NOLA, its colonial history and how this part of the world proudly became to be. Our guide gave us such an understanding while being real and showcasing their authentic relationship to the city. We biked a bit, stopped, talked and repeated. It wasn’t boring, always relevant and it felt like we took the more grass roots option opposed to the other tour companies which looked way more touristy than this. If you come to New Orleans and know how to ride a bike, do this. Totally recommend and thanks for the food recommendations!!

Best way to experience New Orleans - What an experience, we loved every minute of this cycle ride. We were given the history of New Orleans by a local who loved the city. We had a break at a fabulous coffee shop. Saw parts of New Orleans we wouldn't have found on our own. Cycling was easy and we felt totally safe the whole time. Definitely recommend this as a way to explore New Orleans.

A very fun & educational tour. - We got the inside perspective from a local who is very knowledgeable of history. The route was fantastic and showed the side of New Orleans you usually don’t see.

Great history lesson and fun tour - Eric was great, incredibly knowledgeable. He gave is some awesome recommendations for food, taught us the origins of Voodoo, the birth of New Orleans, it’s foundational cultures, how it changed hands from the French to the British, and key events born out of NOLA that drove civil rights progress in the United States. Overall super fun tour.

Amazing!! - Erik was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the city, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He always tried to find us shade for our stops that was very appreciated. We expected a group tour, but it ended up just being us!

Great for parents and teens - This was one of our favorite activities of our trip. We had 2 adults and 2 teens, and all of us enjoyed our tour of the French Quarter and the Lower Garden District. On another visit, we will take another tour with this company, maybe to another neighborhood.
