Highlights
  • French Quarter - Prepare yourself for a great afternoon with the Tour That Tastes Good! You will be greeted by one of our good-looking and brainy tour guides, who will be eager to escort you to historic restaurants with wonderful ambiance. There you will taste mouthwatering local dishes, such as Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and the Muffaletta sandwich. A praline for dessert is included! You will glide through our fabulous French Quarter, founded in 1718. You will admire historic St. Louis Cathedral, named after King Louis IX, who was truly a Saint. He led the seventh and eighth Crusades back in the 13th century. Across the way from the Cathedral is beautiful Jackson Square. If you are interested, the 1850 House on the Square has a nice selection of cookbooks and history books. Regarding the diverse architecture, there is no other place in the country like it. Our outstanding New Orleans Food Tour encompases all of these elements and more - our guides are both attractive and knowledgeable! You’ll be fully engrossed in the history of New Orleans and uncover the origin of its unique food. You’ll marvel at the stunning buildings. Did you know Louis Armstrong was a big fan of Red Beans and Rice? Well, he absolutely was! Once you try a cup, you will comprehend why. Nothing is quite as appetizing as a Sicilian Muffaletta - a combination of ham, prosciutto, salami, cheeses, and olives. It’ll win your taste buds over. And what’s the one ‘must-try’ dish remaining? A piping hot cup of Gumbo. Absolutely! Let’s wrap up our afternoon with a decadent dessert straight from France - a Pecan Praline! The tour concludes near the central Jackson Square, deep within the Quarter. Roam around as much as you please! Your tour guide is a treasure trove of knowledge. Don’t hesitate to ask questions!
