Great food - Susan, our tour guide was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable not only of the foods we ate but of the cultural history behind the item. Everything I ate was delicious and it was great to get restaurant and bakery recommendations from her. Renee, the chef at the cooking school was also very knowledgeable and I was happy to learn about making gumbo, jambalaya and pralines. This tour convinced me to take food tours in other cities!

Creole and Cajun - Laurent gave us a good overview of the history behind the culture of New Orleans and its cooking styles, creole, Cajun and up and coming fusion style. We enjoyed his talks and company

Tasting NOLA - Enjoyed learning some of the history behind some of the foods in NOLA. Loved that we got to taste different things at each stop with the option to order a recommended cocktail at some stops (drinks not included in price). Nate was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of NOLA and its cuisine. I highly recommend a food tour, it was fun and delicious!

Definitely a must-do when visiting New Orleans! - The Walking Food Tour and Jack were great! We purchased the cooking class and it was not clear that this would be an additional 2-hours at the end and we had to wait around 40 minutes for it to start. Although it was a lot of fun, there was some redundancy in information.

Average tour - Frequent visitors to Nola, at least annually. Average tour. Cooking class option was better than anticipated. But don’t take restaurant recommendations from this dude. Knew he definitely didn’t know when he recommended Court of Two Sisters, which is way past its prime!

Don’t accuse people - My tour guide was Susan. First stop she snaps at me, accusing me of recording her. I was not!! I had my phone out to take pictures of the food. Very embarrassing in front of the group. I’ve taken food tours all over this country and never treated like that.
